What are your suggestions on accepting a job offer in the following scenario:
The job location is in Japan, Tokyo. Since the borders are closed for Indians, my work location is remote in India for now. Salary is paid as per Indian market.
When the borders are open, I need to relocate to Japan. I haven't been told about the salary that I would get when I relocate. HR here says once borders open and the Japan company's HR will discuss on the salary range suitable for the Japan market.

Laughing guy, can I help u?

This should be fine. Any company when relocating an employee, will discuss salary at that time only. I think you can wait and do salary/market research related your skills and experience so that when HR quotes you will be ready to negotiate with valid points

like

And what if ' Author ' you don't agree with their Japan's quote?
I mean what will happened in that case.

One thing to consider ia that Japan is crazy expensive.... 1 mango costs Rs. 500/600. Not 1 kg. One

This is called body shopping very rare they are going to offer you a job in Japan.
Because if that was the case they would have offered Japan package only. They will keep you on the hook of onsite to get the best from you and once they find your replacement in Japan. Tata bye bye

like

Japan has standard packages. For ten years exp you get about 6 million yen a yr. Japan is not the place for savings. They have deflation a d hence after ten yrs also your expenses will be the same.

Are you from Rakuten though? Japan is indeed closed for foreigners atm.

And Japan is opening borders on March 1st except for tourism.

Most of the company follow Benchmarck i.e. Radford

Try to gauge which benchmark your company follow in Japan, as per that you will be able to understand what lowest offer they are going to give. Take decision wisely.
If you are in a state where you have made you mind to move to Tokyo then what I just said above doesn't matter

If it is HCL Tokyo, then don't worry. Have a sound sleep. You are in right place.

Work is same right? Why the salary changes wrt market conditions? HR got serious nuts.

Have heard HR usually have a good margin and candidate should never accept the first offer even if the salary was discussed in the very first round.

Term life insurance question - I added the AICPA annual term policy last year. I've noticed personal finance media seems to push 10-20 year term and not discuss annual.

It was considerable cheaper up front and more at the end than 10yr per the fee schedule. If all goes according to plan I'll be at or close to FI within 5-7 years so not sure that I'd keep the full amount past then and would miss the benefit of the cheaper years at the end. Am I missing other risks of not doing 10+ term?
