All clients need to explain conference call etiquette when WFH to their employees. So far I’ve heard people washing dishes, talking to their spouse and kids, making lunch, and playing with pets...
Where do you work and what are your company’s plan to return to office? Is it fully remote, hybrid or mandatory in office? Curious to know if other workplaces are also enforcing vaccination as a condition of employment.
How do you handle keeping the kids at home and both parents WFH? Do you take turns? Specifically, do you explain to your teams that babies need tending to throughout the day?
My position has became fully remote since the pandemic and now I want to move to a state where my company has no presence. Is this a okay thing to do or will I get fired??
Living alone in a new city, I thought WFH would be lonely and depressing. Turns out I love not dealing with coworkers AND I've been reconnecting with old friends on animal crossing. This isnt so bad😂
If I ask for remote after accepting offer from Accenture, will they agree? If they do, will they reduce package??
I’m tired. I love wfh. But balancing it with cooking, cleaning, teacher, parent, caretaker - I’m drained. I want to sleep and wake up when it’s all over
Do you give yourself a lunch break when you WFH?
Hi, I’m looking to intern/volunteer/freelance WFH; My background is in Communication and Digital Media: I also can assist you with admin tasks. FYI I speak Spanish, in case you need to translate docs.
I never thought that I'd say this, but I want to see offices and cubes make a return to the workplace. Either that or 70-100% work from home. Only having the option of open workspaces is terrible.
Back on the market and I’m coming to find two things: 1. Less desirable agencies are the ones who want people back on-site soon, with no wiggle room for remote work. 2. These same agencies want to pay salaries based on COL in the city where the agency is based even if you’re working/living from another market in the interim. Example: Midwest based agency paying Midwest salaries to folks living in places like NY, SF, LA. 🧐🧐🧐🧐
How are you dealing with WFH and small children? I either need to cut my workload or completely disregard my children. I don’t want to be put in the mummy track. This virus is like the mummy trap.
If you’re in LCOL or MCOL, is your firm losing people to California firms offering remote work and California wages? I know some have left for Seiler; Citrin Cooperman; CohnReznick; Abbott, Stringham, and Lynch; Frank Rimerman; Green Hasson Janks. Just curious if it has affected your office at all and if you left for one of those firms, what is your experience so far?
it feels like every survey about working from home is (poorly) designed to answer the useless question "would you rather work from home or from the office." I submit that the set of people who prefers to have only one of those two options, always and forever, is the null set. which means it DOES NOT MATTER because the correct answer is always going to be "make both possible." you're welcome, HR departments everywhere.
Art Directors and Designers, what does your WFH work station look like? I’d like to upgrade mine to be more robust than just my laptop.
Was a bitch? My coworker routinely asks me how I am doing, what I’m working on, if everything is ok, joking that I’m starting my week on Wednesday because I’ve been remote for two days, etc etc. I find it distracting and invasive so today I told them to please stop asking questions that put me on the spot. Was I a bitch?
Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? It’s a week where I’m burning, and the fact that I feel so isolated during it makes me want to quit consulting altogether. Would also like to talk to some of you if possible. Never thought I’d say this but I honestly feel unhappy in my job, and I wonder if it is just WFH related - and whether it might get better once the office opens up.
I joined D's Workday practice as a C and been here ~8 months. I'm getting an offer from a lesser known practice with a 66% increase and a promo to SC. I currently love my job and team. The only motivation to jump is the money. If i stayed at D i'd prob get promoted next year and yet it wont match the salary i'm getting offered today. The money would allow me to reach my goals a lot faster, but is right to move just for the money? I know the work at the other firm will be less interesting.

Best firm for financial tax in Seattle area? In terms of the team vibes, company culture, growth opportunities, benefits and pay, work life balance.
Why is drinking such a huge part of society? Any non-drinkers out here can back me up on this: There's just so many more activities that you can do that doesn't involve alcohol, being drunk, tanking the wallet, having a hangover, and having an unproductive next day...
I’m 29, at my first serious job, and am getting fired (not laid off). Feel like an idiot, and don’t know anyone else my age who has been fired. If you’ve been fired, can you tell me about it? I’m LA based in PR & Comms.
On PTO during CRT results time. Don't want PTO spoiled by it, good or bad. Ask partner for it so it's before I leave? Or wait until after 4th of July holiday? 🤔
What will happen if i put number too high on the salary expectation coloumn? Altough the recruiter reach me first.
Help! Only 9 weeks pregnant but on a high-burn project. The team all works super long hours, but I'm EXHAUSTED!!! It's too early to tell my team I'm pregnant, right? How do I navigate?
https://www.businessinsider.com/cost-culture-clash-50bn-deal-france-lost-to-us-uk-2021-9 Seems like crazy long vacations in Europe didn’t work well for their clients.
I did my second natural cycle IUI today and the two week wait commences. If it doesn't work, we will be going to IVF. Thankful for remote work as it allowed me to have privacy over my schedule.
Just stared on a new project this week, but got an industry offer yesterday so I’m putting in my 2 weeks tmrw. Will they have me stay on or roll me off to the bench for the remainder?
So needing to work 45 hours in advisory going forward, "because professionals already work that much" is a really shitty explication - probably won't get a bump in comp either.
Is okay to text someone about a project they’ve rolled off on if you have a question. Also federal if it matters
Anyone exit to Apple for a Global Supply Manager role? If so, what are your thoughts? Still a lot of travel? Culture? Work/life balance? Commute? Etc etc tell me everything!
