I am leaving the classroom. I don't want to manage so many humans at one time, anymore. I'm considering working remote to be able to travel more easily and figure out where I want to live and what I want. Is there anyone who has left the classroom or the education field? What jobs were you able to transition into?
Anybody else find it obnoxious and really annoying when people try to demand that everyone in a zoom meeting turn their camera on?
Need some thoughts: Sr3 -Office transfer approved and starts in Sept but I haven’t got any work assign from the new office. I’m taking 4 weeks off before June 30 when my rolled vacay expires. 1. if EY will cut ppl out after June will I be on the list since no one knows me/my work ethics, no assignment at the new office and my utilization will be low after vacay. 2. Should I even consider looking to buy/rent in new city since most client will WFH til at least end of this year through next year?
Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? It’s a week where I’m burning, and the fact that I feel so isolated during it makes me want to quit consulting altogether. Would also like to talk to some of you if possible. Never thought I’d say this but I honestly feel unhappy in my job, and I wonder if it is just WFH related - and whether it might get better once the office opens up.
Hello folks, can someone please tell me about the laptop policy in JPMC... I heard they ask you to connect to remote desktop via your personal machine
Does Nagarro giving permanent wfh??
Has anybody else moved to LA from the Midwest? I visited recently for a company trip (I work remote - HQ is there) and fell in love with the city and people. Now I'm having a mild midlife crisis and find daily life to be boring. I know I'm probably still riding an emotional high and logic hasn't come around yet, but wanted to ask if anybody else made the move and their thoughts. How bad was the cost difference? Are there homes you can buy? Household income is around 150k. Plenty here, idk there
I have 5+ years at EY and i think it's time for me to bounce. What remote jobs out there are paying $120k+? Any idea welcome. Past experience not in audit if that matters.
is there a benefit of not telling your boss that you're pregnant until WFH is over? or better tell sooner (like now)? what is a good timeframe without being disadvantaged and discounted from projects etc.? asking for a friend, of course, who is 17 weeks pregnant now, associate level. thank you!!

I got a job offer at Apple and I’m so conflicted. I nor my boyfriend are just thrilled to live in California, but this opportunity is incredible. He is not willing to move with me or be long distance so I’d be in a position to where this could not only impact my relationship but I could also miss out on a job opportunity of a lifetime. Any advice? I am feeling like I’m picking between my career and relationship. It sucks. For context, we’ve been together 2 years and live together.
Does AWS Professional Services take location (HCOL vs LCOL) into account for comp for remote roles?
Morning rant - I kinda hate this hypocrisy where we are doing everything in the world at this stage - visiting malls, watching movies, going to restaurants/pubs, travelling the world BUT just when it comes to going to offices, covid is a risk we will not go.
