Have now worked entirely remote for over a year after having only worked in an office for a few months. It’s my normal and I’m far more productive and available from home than in an office. Anyone know of good companies or law firms that have embraced a permanent remote working model now?? If they’re remote but location dependent, I’m in the Chicago market.
I’m a pretty anxious person and I’ve realized that a remote work environment only makes me more so - not being able to read people’s tone well, email/ping responses being more delayed than they would be in a conversation, the awkwardness of virtual meetings, etc. I’m in therapy and will discuss this there but would love to hear some tips about how people manage work anxiety specifically in a remote consulting environment.
Anyone quitting their job and looking for a permanent remote job now that offices office dates have been announced?
Anyone know of part time corporate positions that are remote? Entry level. I have a bachelors in psychology and masters in special education (not super applicable but I am intelligent and willing to learn). Current teacher looking to make a switch. I am very personable and driven.
How is everyone doing with wfh situation? I fell like burning out... More so at home than at work... And then there is love work app?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if the possibility of 100% remote (advertised in papers) is really happening in Deloitte UK. Trying to move from Deloitte PT to Deloitte UK and would like to know if that is a possibility! Thank you!
I could really use insight. I’m a Rockstar in my dept/team. Ask me to take on a new project and I can get it done. I delegate tasks and partner with other lines of business. I am knowledgeable, punctual, communicative and competent. I can learn new skills/programs easily (SQL, Verint Speech Analytics, pivot tables in Excel.) My pain point is summed up: “Overlooked.” I am not a member of mgmt but want to pursue opportunities. How’ve you asked for mentorship? Tips on standing out in WFH setting?
Hi!! Looking for entry level project coordinator job. Whether it's remote or in the Charlotte area. If anyone knows of anything that'd be great. thank you!
Hey guys, I had a question- My job location is Seattle and currently due to covid and work from home, I am in Texas. If my H1B FY22 gets picked up (currently on F1). Do I have to return back to Seattle or I can continue to work from Texas? Know there is 90 miles rule in place but not sure how stringent it is. Please can you let me know. THANKS!!
Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?
Do you think post-covid that companies will ever keep their tech employees in NYC? I’m a software engineer for a financial company and already am probably one of the last people to RTO if/when that happens. But now I’m thinking that this situation has proven that they don’t need to take on the costs of having SWEs in a HCOL city if all of us can WFH/work from a LCOL city with same results. Kinda bummed bc I’m a new hire and I never even got to move there... should I lower my expectations?
Bain fish, what’s the work from home policy? Do you have to live within a certain distance of your home office?
I have work to do but I’m tired so gonna take a short nap. I’ll finish later and work late if I need to. I won’t miss a deadline, and my team won’t suffer. Good night! This has been an ad for keeping WFH/hybrid going instead of forcing people in 5 days a week.

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)
Anyone move from consulting to Tesla that can shed some light on how they did it? what the comp is like? Remote work?
I've been required to work from the office, but it adds 3 hours of commuting each day and I feel way more exhausted at work. Can I speak to my boss about getting a special privilege to continue to work from home?
I just received a job offer for a position that better aligns with my skills and education. It’s also something I want to do and would get me out of banking, so to speak. The proposed salary offer is only 10% more than what I am making now, though. I currently have a fully remote job and have tons of free time and flexibility. I love my current job as it affords me time with my kids and it’s stress free. The new job is in an office setting and will have more responsibility. Not sure what to do?
I don’t belong in my job. I didn’t mind it when I joined in January and was interacting but as we’ve been work from home longer, the less motivation I have. I don’t enjoy the work but I’ve gotten unlucky with my teams too, and can’t remember the last time my manager praised me without a critique. Maybe I’m just bad at my job. At this point I just am doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What do I do? Should I look for a job that I actually would enjoy doing or stick it out?
Because of my hire date last year I wasn’t reviewed in last summer’s annual review cycle. My firm cut everyone’s salary by 25% in March and made major layoffs and more are coming. The firm made it clear that during this summer’s review they will not discuss salary. Any advice for how to have the conversation in the near future about a raise? I work exclusively with nonprofits and my current salary is not sustainable. Are consulting firms that deal with for profits also suffering like this?
How is the work culture at Deloitte USI ARA, Hyderabad? WLB? Promotions? What kind of projects does a CA/CPA get?

Getting to the airport bar an hour before your flight on a Thursday. A sight for sore eyes.
can you leave the US for Visa stamping while your H1B amendment is still pending? (assuming I have gotten the receipt from USCIS that they have received my amendment application)
Evaluating two offers in tech. I live in Atlanta and was offered 155k salary and 122k RSU $10k sign on No annual bonus. Another tech company offered $170k and 165k RSU WITH 10% annual bonus but it’s based in California. What are y’all’s thoughts, I hadn’t planned on relocations but could if it’d worth it
Hypothetically, if BBB was delayed and brought to the Senate floor next year (let's say February 2022) and passed, and the January 1st date for ending Roth conversions is left unchanged, what would happen to Americans who performed After-Tax 401k to Roth conversions in January? Would 401k custodians have to reverse the transactions and somehow factor in gains earned in users' Roth accounts since the conversion? Could there be penalties?
If you had to choose between having your WFH desk in your bedroom or living+dining area (combined space), where would you choose?

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
I got laid off 6 months ago. Next week I finally start a new in-house job in the media industry. Looking back, I’m pretty sure I walked the plank off a sinking ship. But I’ll miss you crazy fishes 😘
The worst words I've ever had spoken to me were 'not compatible with life.' Today is the one year mark since the procedure and loss of what would have been our first child. I'm about to go on a bender 🥃
