Canada here, asking for a friend - is it possible to not allow an employee to wfh given the circumstances? Even when the firm is technologically capable? My friend doesn’t feel comfortable going in.
Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?
I’m a 2nd year civil litigation associate at a mid-sized firm in south Florida. My dream has always been to go in house but was dissuaded by law school professors telling me not to. I’m at a crossroads now because I’m OVER the billing, but my boss and direct team is quite possibly the most amazing and supportive group. My boss is always willing to let us work remote or take vacations. My question is, is the grass greener on the other side? Should I go in house now or wait another 3 years?
Any thoughts on the Digitas Boston office? Sounds like it'll be a permanently remote role.
Anyone else tired of the assumption that because you’re a partner you have to think a certain way and believe certain things. I’m talking about wokeness, work from home, and the recent ever constant pushing of the needle to the left or risk getting “cancelled”. I’m fairly liberal politically so for me to be saying this I think may say something for the current climate. I should be able to hold and express my own opinions without being quashed because I’m not “woke” enough.
Got a consulting job offer from Deloitte and Kpmg. Can I reasonably negotiate remote work from home or is this just not going to happen despite covid?
Currently remote working from Santa Fe and I love it here. Anyone know what the scene is like for single people in their 30s as I know that the population skews older (like retirees)?

Did your company give you a WFH stipend?
Whats your go-to meal when cooking a quick lunch while WFH? Lately I’ve been making roasted sheet pan veggies (sweet potatoes, red onions, broccoli, asparagus and seasoning) and it’s epic. 20 minutes on medium heat and then 5 on broil. Love it!
Which dual monitors are good to use for work from home for consulting within $400 budget? Deloitte
How many square feet does a couple need in a one bedroom? What’s the minimum, what’s comfortable, and what neighborhoods are good value for apartments that meet those requirements? We’ll both still work from home some days a week, but not regularly
Slalom consultants, do you have to live in one of their main locations, or can you WFH in any city you choose? I live in a smaller town and want to stay.

Does anyone know what recourse a NYC tenant has against a neighbor with a dog that barks incessantly. I like dogs- I get dogs bark. But I’m WFH and have zooms and this is becoming a nuisance. Has anyone dealt with this before/any advice? Should I try to talk to the neighbor or will that screw me over/risk retaliation if and when I have to write a formal complaint to the landlord office...
Hi ladies, would love your suggestions on this. How do you successfully network after joining a new company and are 100% remote (for now) ? Joining Deloitte HC, but would like input from others. TIA!
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
I’m looking to pivot to a customer success or engagement role but I don’t have a lot of client facing experience. Any tips? I’ve applied to a few places recently, but I’m still waiting to hear back.

What to do now, is there any way to check the current status? Thanks for your time and support.

4 years at Accenture were stressful, left to go to Deloitte for $22k salary bump and hope for better culture, then COVID layoff happened. If I try returning to Accenture, which is the best division to try returning to (with generic consulting skills) and why? Not looking for "division spirit/pride," looking for insight into which divisions have better pay/culture/WLB/etc. (constructive replies only please, I realize I sound like a 🤡)
Going up for promotion next year. Will it impact me to be on maternity leave for the last 2 months of the performance period or will the rest of the year speak for itself? To wait, or not to wait?!?
Just found out my mother is dying from cancer and does not have much longer to live. I took a week of PTO to help my dad. I can’t afford to take leave and my family thinks I should continue working. Has anyone gone through the same? How did it impact you? I told my team and they’re supportive, but I’m at a loss about how this will impact me professionally.
I'm wondering what people in public accounting think about their co-workers who are on working visa...
