Hi fishes, Can anyone provide inputs about the wfh policy/announcements for the coming months in ZS India offices. Heard they might opt hybrid model, can someone confirm? TIA ZS Associates
I keep seeing those LinkedIn polls about how many people want to work from home permanently, and it makes me kinda sad. I know a lot of people really prefer working from home, but as a junior who only started working after the pandemic began, it feels so strange to not have an agency to go to. I know all my coworkers faces only from seeing them on Zoom, and only in the context of work-related conversations. I hope I’ll actually get the chance to experience normal agency culture.
I’m looking for a full time remote first tax job. If you have worked with an external recruiter in the remote tax area and recommend them, please DM me. Thank you!
Client is looking to hire in-house and asked my opinion. What’s a good salary range for an IP counsel position for 3-5 years experience? Fully remote.
Haven’t done any real amounts of work in 3 weeks, was hired remote and all my would be bosses left before I started a few months ago. I keep asking around for more work but I don’t think anyone knows I exist to resource me. I’m still getting paid and it seems like I’m set to just float around doing nothing but looking for another job until they realize I’m still on the books.
Hey guy we have multiple openings for .net, php, react and angular. We are looking for immediate joining and this will be remote, full time. Send your resumes to email@example.com
What is it about law that glorifies morning people so much? I am NOT one and wfh has been so great for me in terms of being able to set my own schedule, but now that we’re starting to go back to the office I’ve noticed some pointed comments about people not being in by 8am. I bill as much (generally more) than other associates, so why does it matter if I start at 9 and work late?? I’m finding it hard to go back to the arbitrary-feeling 8am office start when I know I’m not going to be productive.
Recently saw an article saying that Amazon will allow employees to wfh. Does the employee need to be in that state / within driving distance? Interested in some roles there but not looking to relocate.
People I trust say Toast is a great company. Remote. Accounting Manager, General Ledger Love of Bread Puns 7+ years experience Team building experience Doesn't say CPA? No salary data - yet - working my angle.
Prudential Financial - Calling all employees, how is wlb there? Specifically in tax but in general as well. Thinking about applying. Any input is appreciated! Are they fully remote? How bad is busy season? Thank you!!
My work office is in philly but i wfh in delaware. Why im i paying for both state taxes as well as philly tax. Is that right or do i need to make some adjustments. Im at PwC currently.
I’m not the heaviest I’ve ever been - I’ve lost some weight due to stress - but I’m easily in the worst shape of my life. I go for walks but it’s just not enough to combat the sedentary wfh lifestyle. Any advice on how to make more of an effort to at least try to do better? I have no equipment other than a yoga mat and can’t afford a peloton or anything. But I went to the office to pick some stuff up and took the stairs 3 floors up, and felt like I was going to die 😭 any advice appreciated!
Is there a time when people generally “start” work remotely? Back when I was a summer before the pandemic, I commonly saw people go in between 9-10 am but I didn’t know what the norm is now that we are remote. I see emails at 8 am and I’m not sure if I’m expected to respond then or not. Also if you are on a deal where some of the members are in NY and you’re in the Midwest, are you expected to go by their times and be on when they are on?
How annoying are people’s overly detailed WFH / “sick” explanation emails? I don’t care about the bad Mexican food you ate!
I have an immediate freelance need for a PPC buyer to come in and expand our advertising efforts for TheSkills.com The job can start as early as today and is 100% remote. If interested; firstname.lastname@example.org. Must have 5+ years scaling campaigns across Facebook, Google, IG for a startup or a small budget brand.

When I first got my H1-B visa stamp, it was valid for 5 years. Do I need to get a new stamp after getting an extension? Thank you.
What is the best way to get fired and still be eligible for unemployment? fwiw- I am not lazy and looking for a free ride, just a safety net in case it takes a bit to find something new. (hoepfully it won't even be needed) I also have savings but don't want to deplete my progress. Today was over the top with the politics and I am just over it. I am burnt out and have no room for extra bs and just trying to make it to retirement.
Debating between a role in transaction advisory at Big 4 vs back office accounting at a well known PE firm. Audit is not for me (not the hours or firm but work) so worried about the BO role - I have always wanted to work on deals but worried about the exit ops. Any advice is greatly appreciated, don’t have many friends in the industry and feel like the advice I have gotten has been extremely bias
As a junior associate, how do you find the healthy balance to take initiative in matters as opposed to wasting billable time on something the client won’t pay for or the partner might not actually want?
With 16 weeks parental leave at EY, 1yr no travel after after maternity for ACN, and all the distractions of workers with children, firms should show some love to the yeoman single or childless people
It's health insurance season in the United States of "Every Person for Themselves." Is there a silver lining to a primarily coinsurance based plan, rather than mostly copays? This is a first for me.
Can someone tell me about the work life balance of a HR Talent Senior Associate at PWC ? Is it true growth in this role?
New iPhone user here - is the Apple Card worth it? Currently just started Quicksilver this June with Capital One and also have a Amex Blue Cash everyday from earlier this year. Am I opening too many cards? Apple Card or should I wait a little bit and go for chase sapphire/freedom unltd?
Has anyone interviewed for a data specialist or product development position at YipitData? Looked over Glassdoor and saw there is a substantial take home assessment. I wanted to see if anyone could verify and share their experience. Thank you!
Do connecting flights count toward MQS on delta?
Can someone suggest how to crack SAP SD interview if you are from SAP OTC testing background?
Hi there! I’m being vetted for a position that I’d have to relocate for, they mentioned they’d pay for relocation. This would be my first role in senior leadership, and I’m just looking for tips on negotiating pay and other components of my offer letter. I’ve previously had an issue where I was brought in way under value, and it took 2 years to get a benchmarking raise. I just want to position myself highly upfront this time. Any ideas other than base pay I could and should negotiate? Thanks!
Query regarding Skilled Worker visa maintenance section. I'm moving to UK via Accenture and they're A-rated and certifying that they will support me for first month on the CoS. Does that mean they will necessarily pay for my accommodation for that period or give me some advance money?
I just received an offer from Deloitte to come in at the Consultant level in their GPS sector. I feel I’m being compensated pretty well with a 105k base and 5k sign-on bonus (I posted a couple of hours ago and my 17 month old managed to delete it somehow). Anyways, I would love to hear some brutally honest opinions of what the work-life balance could possibly look like.
Does it look bad if I apply to 2 positions at the same company? Choosing between a BI or FP&A analyst. I value career growth, competitive pay, WLB (okay with working extra hrs once in a while but not daily). Don’t wanna be in a position with limited growth or exit opps however both sound like strategy and development or pivot to a diff consulting firm?
I left KPMG but I don’t want to leave the KPMG bowl. It’s like stalking an ex on social media when I read things in that bowl.
Serious note to all those posting on LinkedIn offering to write a recommendation for anyone they know who has been laid off. How about just writing it without having to be asked first. The last thing someone who just lost their job wants to do is ask you for help, even if they need it. If you want to make their day, just go ahead and do it. Oh, and don’t write about them in the past tense, especially if they haven’t changed their employment status on LinkedIn.
