Does anybody here feels that this never ending calls and over zealous over productive folks are a byproduct of COVID. I mean I feel like I am working more because of WFH
Is Pwc’s remote work policy real? If you don’t wanna travel ever again, does the company really allow you to wfh? Do you think that this policy will be revisited in the future?PwC
Started at a new firm ~1 month ago and not really enjoying it so far. How do I know it’s not just the starting remote that’s difficult vs if I’m not going to like it here?
Going on a parental leave in a month. Anyone know of any remote, freelance/part time I can do to still make money on the side? Out side of Uber/Lyft etc
Hey pharma fishes - I head up a boutique agency focused primarily on healthtech, including several companies who are service/solution providers for life sciences orgs. We’re looking for FL writers who know the business of the industry, and can tackle B2B content for product developers. Interesting brands and an opportunity to hop on the various ways they’re digitizing fast. DM me if you’re interested. Remote is totally cool.
WFH is killing my back since I’ve been WFH a lot recently. LOLOL! Any good chair recommendations????
How do you make WFH work for you? Dealing with loneliness, inefficient communication with team, client, etc. thank you!
Hello Folks, Can you pls advise on which company to go for. R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon. CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community. HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two. R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC. YOE ~8 Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure Thanks
Trying to help my wife upgrade her WFH setup. She gets some road noise at times and is backlit in the afternoon. Anyone have suggestions for webcam and external microphone that would handle that? … and no curtains aren’t an option. She loves to look of the room and the blinds that are there.
Hey agency producers, if a new prod co lands a first job with you, how are they showing gratitude? I’m a prod company rep and I previously would drop off a beer basket or some sort of nice thing. Now though everyone is WFH. Are people doing things?
"The eight predictions, helpfully sorted into four themes, will be familiar to anyone who has read the business section of the Boston Globe. Remote work will be more common, business travel will be less frequent, childcare and housing are getting more expensive, inequality is worsening, public transit will be less popular, population growth will slow, and we need to retrain workers for a changing job market."
What are the underlying meanings of the big 4 terms? Like “work from home" means I’ll be online but no work pls, “high level review” means I didn’t look and all the responsibilities fall on you etc
First time dad, getting ready to return to work after being out on paternity leave for ~5mths (mix of leave and vacation). Any advice on getting back into pre-baby productivity and efficiency? I’ve been out so long and Covid has changed so many things now, I feel like a new joiner having to adapt to a new WFH world. Thanks for any tips!
Looking at making a move from a top 20 city to PNW farm style living. Work from home permanently and live peacefully. I'd be close enough to SEA that I'd be able to make it work if I had to (ie if remote ops reversed course) Anyone thinking similar or already done so? Also, has anyone sold their house to an institutional buyer? Obviously, you may get less cash, but it will also take longer to sell, so you are paying holding costs, etc and taking on more market risk.
My firm recently announced that they were beginning a reservation system for hoteling starting February of 2022 for offices . We were told to clear out our offices by December 31,2022 . The lease is not up for renewal until June 2024 at which point they will look to reduce their office space due to a hybrid work model . My issue is what incentive do I have to make a reservation to go to an office when I can simply continue work from home hassle free. Any Thoughts and comments?
Hi fishes, I shifted my career to UI UX Design a year ago and now I wanna switch to another company so that I can continue my remote working productively. Pls DM if any opportunities.
If you had the chance to be remote for the rest of your career, which state would you choose and why?
New fish looking for career guidance. I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation. I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm. Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

What is best practice when discussing engagements that I’ve worked on at an interview? Should I specifically name the company, or just talk about the industry and what I did on that audit?
So how did my client opened the week you’re asking? By telling the entire team (mainly consultants) that when the company stock was bottoming a couple of weeks ago they were looking to get out
What type of self help strategies do individuals actually find helpful when you feel burn out or stuck in a rut? Any books, apps, meditation, podcasts, etc, others find helpful? I've done therapy and it has definitely helped this past year with covid and a marriage separation, starting to feel like I'm making progress and want to keep up the momentum. Looking to see what type of self help others find actually beneficial and would love to use that to help others stuck in burn out too

I’m an associate at a small commercial lender focused firm…and I had an interview with the partner at a big law firm. He asked if I had any concerns about working in big law. I said I was worried about WLB as a mother of an 8 month old. He responded with the typical “I know plenty of female attorneys who put their kids to bed…they just work after their kids go to bed. There’s no reason to worry.” this just rubbed me the wrong way. Is this just me?? This just big law life?
A year into consulting, considering a return to industry, how long did it take you to be comfortable in a consulting role?
Does anyone work at a firm that focuses more on getting the job done to a quality on time instead of budget budget budget. If so, are you hiring audit managers?
Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL) - Anyone have one of these ? Never heard of this until the other day when a financial planner mentioned it. He said it’s a better vehicle than 401K. I took what he said with a grain of salt because he was trying to acquire customers, but I haven’t heard anyone talk about it here. At a quick glance it seems pretty solid. Anyone have experience ? Pros/Cons ? Something to add on including the standard 401K, Roth, HSA, etc ?
