What are your thoughts on Panerai Luminor series?

Panerai style is polarizing in general; some people really like them and some people really hate them. The important thing is whether or not you like it. There are enough people who have liked them for enough time that it’s not ridiculous to think they’re cool. They’re not my favorite but I appreciate the simple clear style of them.

Well said.

I have had one for 16 years! I love it but I have big wrists.

My guys, both gone to other homes. I loved my Luminors, but they were definitely more trendy 10 years ago. I don’t have the wrist for 44mm, so my next PAM will likely be a 42mm Submersible.

I like them

It’s polarizing, but I love it’s distinctiveness. For the longest time, the size has been a deterrent but with the new 40mm, it’s worth another look

I am a big fan. It’s one of those you either love it or you hate it. My first big boy watch was a 44mm Luminor Marina, which I eventually downsized to a 40mm Luminor. Just ordered another one, the Luminor 1950 with a 42mm case. Should be getting it next week. I can’t wait!

Transferred to a new city 6 months ago and feel I would have better ops at a new company in my new city. Is it too soon to leave? Should I wait 1 year/how long should I wait? Don’t wanna burn bridges.

Seems like my offer at Deloitte is getting slow walked. Anyone know of anything going on within human capital around hiring freezes/pauses and/or offer rescinding?

I have lived in the 4th largest city of Houston, to the 3rd largest city of Chicago, to the 2nd largest city of Los Angeles, and to the 1st largest city of New York City. How many people can say they have lived in the 4 largest cities in the country? I am very proud and thankful for these experiences.

Will I ever be able to afford a home in SF? I made the terrible career decision of being born in 1997, and it seems just insurmountable to accumulate enough wealth (saving ~100k/year) as the boomers who’ve just sat on properties.

One of my earliest memories is playing with the bezel on an old submariner my dad set aside from me. It feels good that I've gotten to the point where now I can buy one for myself. Hard work pays off.

I’m a Deloitte alumni. The attached image is on brand. While there are pockets of excellence & collegial respect at D - overall, D culture is toxic, particularly for people of color, Black people, & non-binary people. So, if you fall in any one of those groups, & you are told/wondering if you are being “sensitive” or “overreacting” to what you’re seeing, hearing, & sensing-I can assure you that you aren’t. Get what you can from the firm (experiences/certs) & pivot to something better.

I always get awkward when ending calls. I start out great and I carry the conversation well but when it comes to close I kinda freeze and say the most awkward random shit. Any tips?
