Its has to be handled very carefully and based on the data. Yes opening could help the economy. But if you open the economy too soon, it comes back, the damage would be far greater than it would be if we took out time with the quarantine.

Opening the economy doesn't mean everyone can immediately go back to life as normal. It will happen slowly and based on facts and data. Some areas may open quicker, but don't count on restaurants and grocery stores being full and large social events taking place any time soon.
Most cases are still symptom free. This push to try to unilaterally reopen from the GOP hard liners is absolute madness.

Do it at the local level, require masks in public and maintain social distancing. Data seems to show that most likely transmission is in households - not passing by a stranger in the hallway.
