Secondment to a client who is (1) key to your group and/or (2) one you already or want to work for long term, it’s great. Also good chance to see what life in house is really like and whether it’s for you.

like

Good but you still need to be supervised by an atty. Say you cant go if client has no legal dept. Also find out hiw OT will be treated or if you will get trued up for having no opportunity. And never ever say yes to a PT secondment. That is hell.

Hey folks, I’m an international student pursuing a Masters degree from UWaterloo and looking for full time opportunities in finance and consulting for fall 2022.

I have one YOE in Private Equity back in Asia, completed a fellowship at a VC in India, volunteered to help an Angel investor in Atlanta perform due diligence and a bunch of ECs. My course began in fall 2021, by the time I joined, most of the on-cycle recruitment application deadlines were already wrapped up. TIA!

One of ex’s friends who is I met twice, has been in touch, him and his wife, like commenting on some of my posts occasionally (we are just fb friends and IG friends). I never saw them since. Then the friend texts asking if I am seeing someone and that he wants to set me up with someone. He felt awkward doing that, I thanked him for thinking of me, but then he said we all told your ex he is an idiot for letting you go and they asked my ex it they could still be touch with me and he said yes.

Looking to leave but trying to conceive ( 1 year now and having fertility issue). I am sticking around cause the flexibility is great with me need to see RE and get blood draw. But also concerned I'm just going to end up not leaving if I never get pregnant :( Upcoming year will be a new client for me and I know it'll bring stress. However a new role in industry might not be as easy either and I'll need to prove myself, where as currently I'm already regarded as a high performer and gained trust.
