I hear panic attacks caused by the demyelination of neurons due to long-term oxidative stress works wonders.
... I would love to just hear what other things worked for you in balancing your lives. Personally, I’m in therapy and self-reflect often, but i really haven’t improved in 4 years. To be fair, a big part of me doesn’t want to change bc this mentality defines me in many ways and I’m terrified of losing that.
Lastly, for others suffering, always remember that you’re not alone. Thanks in advance!
You mentioned a big part of you doesn’t want to change. In order to change, you have to want to - otherwise you’re wasting both your time and the therapist’s time.
Stop feeing worthless / unworthy
Ditto D1’s comment. I decided I needed to let go of being perfect, so I found something to do that. Other ways I slow down: shut off the phone, go for a walk without the phone, pet the dog/cat, read, listen to a podcast/story.
Consciously cultivating hobbies and relationships outside of work helps me put things in perspective.
Maybe your therapist isn't that great... also exercising generally helps
