My confession is that I have seen the medical field change so much over the past 20 years, that it's unrecognizable in both good and bad ways. More people are leaving than staying, and I am worried the quality of care is dwindling. I try not to burden friends and family with some of the things I've seen recently, but the short version is that I'm no longer sure I have faith or trust in it myself.
Can anyone recommend a good brand for plain men’s T-Shirts? Preferably thicker cotton and well made. Most of my Banana Republic/JCrew/Polo stuff fall apart after a few washes.

Is anyone familiar with non-profit HR? I sit on a non-profit board and lend my HR expertise to them. Our executive director is leaving and other board members want to pay a “leaving bonus” as a thank you for her hard work and say it’s common in non-profit realm. I have researched and see a lot of retention bonuses but unsure why we’d give someone a bonus on their way out and don’t want to set a precedent for doing this. Any insight is appreciated.
I had an offer from a startup as a tech recruiter. They mentioned in my offer I will be eligible for bonuses and will be organized by the CEO in the first 3 months. I get my actual contract and there is no mention of a bonus structure. I asked them about it and they said it has to be developed with the hr manager, who will be on-boarded to the team in two weeks.
Does this seem right to anyone ?
Can anyone share their annual rating distribution targets? We use a 5pt scale and would like to understand if there’s a standard target distribution % particularly in the consulting industry.
Hi everyone ! Anyone here work in a Tech startup? If so, how did you go about creating a global pay structure that was for employees in the US and internationally and how did you differentiate a range for new hires and current employees. Would love to know if anyone has experience doing this.
Need insight please. I am currently a Recruiter and have extensive experience in that but also a few in HR general. Trying to think of my career path. What are the pros and cons of specializing in recruitment versus going into HR? Advancement opportunities, compensation, etc
First time poster here!
After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"
I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?
New fish looking for career guidance.
I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation.
I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.
Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?
What is the best way to get SHRM certified. I have my associates in business administration.
So I’ve always had a rough time trying to find what role titles I would be a good fit to apply to given that my career growth has been so peculiar (HR assistant at hotel, Operations Manager at hotel, seller support at Amazon, customer experience coordinator at an IT company, talent acquisition specialist at a health org)
In those roles I normally took more in my plate than the typical role requires (hr functions, data analysis, etc)
With 6-7 years if exp what role should I look?
What is the SHRM and is it even worth it to get?
PHR vs SHRM vs AIRS? Which one should I pursue?
I have been working in HR for 1 year now, specifically in recruiting. I am currently an in-house recruiter for a company. There is a large turnover for the position I hire for, the candidates are low quality as the position I hire for does not call for many specific skills or hard-to-obtain skills.
What sort of requirements typically need to be met to move into a different part of HR? I will likely have to find another company as the only positions above me in my company are taken by people who are very unlikely to leave in the coming 4-5 years.
Any kind hearted HR professional from KPMG Canada could refer me for an entry level talent acquisition role?
Thanks in advance.
An employee aired his grievances about racist behavior he's experienced at our firm and put in his notice. What is usually done regarding MBA tuition covered by the company? He still has two years left on his contract...
Anyone has idea about HR Assistant ll position ( HR operations admin) role in Amazon Canada? It requires HR data management, roaster management, payroll entry to HRIS etc.
They are offering 18.89CAD/hr for contractual position. 10hrs shift, WFH & 4 days a week!
I know it’s an entry level position but I need an entrance to HR career since I’m a newcomer in Canada!
Low hourly wage & night shift is making me skeptical!
Really need expert advice if it’s a good offer?
I've got a couple of opportunities at a non-profit - remote (must be in the US). Non-profit or Education experience preferred.

I found a new job (huzzah!) and turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. But I started feeling crummy last night and went to the doctor for a COVID test today. Lab results already came back positive. So now I feel super guilty about basically calling in sick to my last two weeks of work...should I try and push out my start date to help out current employer? Feel like current supervisor is going to throw a hissy fit.
Human Resources Coordinator Salary NYC I manage 5 offices with 225 employees and make 85k is that good market pay? We’ve hired 79 people this year abs terminated 60.
Hey everyone! I would like to know how you do your research to see what your market value is. I’ve been working as an HR consultant for the past 3 years my actual title is HRBP but I would consider it more of an HR consultant role( worked with multiple clients in various industries and states) and have done recruiting through my time at my current role. I have an MBA with an emphasis on HR and I’m based in Houston, TX. What range should I be in? Thank you so much for your assistance!
