Depends on what you need. Do you currently have enough equity in your home to support the project, or will you need to use your home's value after remodel to have enough equity?

Try Renofi

Any advice of changing auto/home insurances?

I just realized I’ll likely have a MAGI of over $124,000 this year and will have to reduce the amount I contribute to my Roth IRA. I don’t know exactly by how much and I’ve already contributed about $1,900 directly through my Roth IRA. Does anyone know if I can still do a backdoor Roth IRA for the remainder of the $6,000? Is there any way to avoid over-contributing to my Roth IRA by the amount I already put in there?

Help! Last minute trip to Hawaii, want to use points. Have about 250k points thru both Chase and Amex (each). Also have Amex Plat.
- Chase is running 1.5x points to transfer to Bonvoy right now.
- Amex has basically the same deal as Chase - every 2 pts transfer to Bonvoy for 3 pts (am I doing the math right?)
- Amex also has $200 FHR/Hotel Collection annual credit for one of the hotels I'm considering
- Could also transfer points to Hyatt, but not as good hotel options where I'm headed

Does anyone have recommendations for good accountants who understand incentive stock options (ISOs), AMT, and exiting strategies?

My company just went through a major series C funding round and I have the fortunate problem of needing to make wise tax decisions on future stock exercises. It seems like most CPAs I’ve come across are not well versed in ISOs. Given how common stock incentives are in tech I’d hope there are some reasonably priced advisors with expertise in the subject.
