Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!
Hi, did anybody ever experience wrong tax calculations by JPMC Payroll/tax team ? Or is there any specific month where they deduct more tax. Huge amount of tax deduction is done for Oct payout. From my CA’s calculation the amount deducted by JPMC team looks wrong. Anybody experienced this?

Good that India and China are leading the way!

I'm on a similar journey after 10ish years in consulting. Here are my impressions:
-there are no certifications/certificates/courses that are clearly recognized as points of entry for product management
-the best 2 options I have found are 1, to join product management directly at a startup who is willing to take a chance on you, then you can move to bigger firms over time. Or 2, join a larger tech firm in a product management adjacent role (like product marketing or product strategy) and try to transfer or job hop to product management later. An option 3 would be to apply to big tech (think faang) PM roles directly and hope for the best, but this is such a hail Mary (or is mostly feasible for somewhat rare pre-existing backgrounds) that I don't consider this a feasible path.
-that being said, a masters degree in CS could make you more attractive, as lack of tech knowledge often is a limiting factor for aspiring Product managers
-and even that being said, a 2 year MBA at a top school, perhaps combined with a CS masters or product certificate (Northwestern has a top 10 mba program and a new product management program) may be the clearest, shortest path to PM at a more established tech company, due to the robustness of established recruiting pipelines.
Hi, why do so many consultants what to change to Product Manager?
