I’m 30, with no kids, currently paying $540/mo for a whole life insurance policy through my advisor (family friend, mind you) at NWM. No debt, investing 2k a month into other more traditional investments (e.g., 401k, ira). I care less about the death benefit but I’ve been repeatedly reminded about the guaranteed RoR associated with the cash value - does this investment vehicle make sense to continuing with? TIA!

I was diagnosed with cancer a week ago and my path forward is still unclear. I still have been applying for jobs and have a screening call coming up. Is my diagnosis something that I should bring up during a screening call or round 1 interview, especially if I might need to take FMLA? How might I approach asking about health benefits/insurance w/o revealing my health issues? I’m honestly not sure what my rights are under human resource policies and really appreciate any guidance from the group!

Why are accountants and government officials saying health care workers should be mandated to get vaccines? A large percentage of health care workers do not want the vaccine and unfortunately once the vaccine is mandated this data will be gone, but as of today NY Healthcare workers are only about 30 percent vaccinated. The vaccine has been out for a year, they could've gotten it by now. So are we saying the nurses who were heroes last year are no longer heroes? Do we really think we know more?🤦
