Brex because they give startups one place to manage their entire financialOS (cash, card, expense management, reporting). The card is great as there is no PG, high limits, and aggressive rewards. FD - I may be biased as I work for them 😇

Client also feels comfortable to wire money to renowned bank. Obviously depends on what type of client you are dealing with. In my case my clients are big banks, so it made sense for me

In Silicon Valley, the only place to do your banking is Silicon Valley Bank.

Help & suggestions please. I don’t have parents and recently had a kid. I am having trouble in recovery and my daughter is a preemie. I am going back to work in December but can’t send kid to daycare due to health. My aunt who raised me wants to visit and help me out , see places too. With the travel ban going away , can she get a visitor visa so that I have someone reliable in the house along with the new nanny. Are visitor visas possible to get now ? MIL is another option but she is aged.

Hey everyone! Recent transplant (26 F) who moved here during Covid (family reasons) so still not quite familiar with the areas. I’m currently living in Brentwood but looking to move. I’m considering Marina Del Rey as I want to be a bit closer to the office (in Venice) and the airport for when things open back up/travel resumes. I tried searching here but didn’t see a lot - what is the reputation of Mar Vista (and if possible - how is that different than Brentwood?). All opinions welcome! 🙂

Can you negotiate your time in the company? What I mean is say 401k vesting / matching happens in two year or vacation increases a week for someone with 3 years can I be credited with a year served in the system so that I can vest faster. I understand everything is in a system, so can they do a plus one to my count? I am doing this in case they come in at the low end of salary and can't raise salary. Trying to think of non monetary low monetary benefits to close gap

How much experience do you need to be seriously considered for jobs that ask for “5 years” experience? I have 1.5 years of Big 4 experience. Do you typically include the 2-3 years of college (basic bookkeeping) level accounting jobs / internships as experience as well? (Including college part time accounting jobs gets me closer to 4-5 years experience - just not sure if that’s generally viewed as “valid” experience)
