Our cafeteria wasn't too bad food wise. I really miss the salad bar they would put out. It was LOADED. Plus, at only $1 for a salad, it was worth eating.
None. I have not eaten cafeteria food since I was in school myself. That was in the 90s when it was actually still food, not flour stuffed chicken. I remember having a salad bar at school when I was a kid. With real veggies to add to your lettuce. Today, they just give kids a cup of lettuce and a teeny cup of low fat dressing if they have it. Most of the students at my school won’t touch it. They bring ramen noodles with them for lunch. You know it’s bad when kids would choose ramen over lunch meals. I keep cereal in my classroom or bring a microwave meal, none of which I really miss.
Soup
The mashed potatoes with chunky chicken gravy and/or Mexican pizza. I went to school in the 70's and early 80's. Those were the days I would buy my lunch, I packed most of the time because I'm picky about food.
The monthly nachos
Chief
If they had monthly nachos at my school, it would be called that not due to frequency but age.
