Within the next 18 mo I will be considered for taking over a nurse management job in the OR. This is a small rural hospital in the Midwest. I’m already currently absorbing some of the job responsibilities, especially when the current manager is OOT. I do not get compensated for the extra work done in her absence but will soon be expected to train into that roll in the months prior to her retirement. How do you deal with the stress of waiting to hear back about a position that you interviewed for and really want? The interviews all went well with the most senior person even talking about how excited the whole team was about you and how they felt you were a great fit for a variety of reasons. Then said they look forward to talking to you soon. BUT you have had this happen before and been ghosted. AND they are still interviewing another candidate.

I have been selected as Cloud Support Engineer in Amazon and is being offered 20lpa fixed and 5lpa sign on bonus for first year and 4lpa sign on bonus for second year. And I am being offered 20lpa in Amazon stocks spread over 4 years. My YOE=5 years and I am from DevOps background. When the salary discussion happened I didn't negotiate at all. Cisco CTC - 16.2LPA , Fixed - 15.1LPA - Cisco TAC role.

Verizon data services llc - CTC 18LPA , Fixed - 16.1LPA

YOE - 6.5 Years
CCTC - 7.2 LPA
Tech - Networking and Security

Conflicted between both as I believe Cisco has a better brand value and great company to work for. But the offer from Verizon is competitive.

SalesForce folks, a recruiter reached out for an opportunity to interview for a AE position in my specialty. I noticed there is also an opp available locally for a Strategic Account Manager in my vertical as well.
Any one know of pay difference between the two, responsibilities/expectations, how they are viewed in the org itself?
I understand they are different but in my job today, I handle both roles so can go in either direction.

My position in sales, growing existing accounts with my company, is being eliminated in October. I either take a bit of a pay cut to do something really similar but more stable on the service side, or move to new business (which is not attractive to me), or I find something new. Is it fair they are having me interview just to basically keep my position after 7 years of doing it successfully meeting targets? Or is it time for me to look elsewhere?

I got laid off from my job as an account manager at a SAAS company. I’ve been applying non stop for similar jobs in saas for the past 2 months and I’m not having a lot of success with interviews. Either not getting them or not getting an offer because they go with a candidate with more experience (I have 1 year experience). Coming with 8 years of international sales, account management & shopper marketing experience, I’m getting Retail Associate/Sales Associate offers by CPG companies with as low as $18/hr and $0.46 per km fuel.

While I think it’s a great opportunity to learn about the Canadian market as a new resident, it would break my bank and I would have to buy the car for this roles while living in Midtown Toronto. It doesn’t make financial sense to me.
