I just got paid $11 more than I did two weeks ago. Please tell me this wasn't my raise. I'm in advisory, I know that the numbers are getting released on Wednesday and first new payment is on the 9th??

But the Sharechat role is not much technical and I am having doubt about the growth in latter career stage.

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. Curious to hear how other SC commission structures are. Currently at my company we are allowed 1% of every large deal over $500,000, but are capped at a certain amount (cannot make more than $15,000 additional every year). This feels particularly frustrating as I’m working on several million $ deals, but could potentially see only 0.25% of the money I’ve brought in for my business. This is on top of our normal base variable if the company hits their numbers. What are others like?

Switching from commission to salary-only.

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role (supporting some post-sales). It doesn’t pay commission, ie. will have a higher base but less overall earning potential.

Would you consider this? What reduction in cash should be expected going from a variable to fixed compensation? For example, if you made $200k today, would it be realistic to ask/expect $180k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?
