What car do you drive? I’ll soon be an associate partner, and realized that my 10yo Toyota Camry is now one of the crappier cars in the office. What do you think is a reasonable car to drive?

I’ve been here for 15 years and still drive my 10 year old Ford Escape. Whatever you like/want to drive is reasonable 🙂

Take the real estate agent path and lease a stripper BMW. Same options as a 10 yo Camry with all the image enhancements you appear to want

Thanks everyone! It’s true, there’s nothing wrong with my car and honestly I’ll probably keep it until we have kids because it still runs great. I guess I just feel FOMO with all my friends getting fun new cars

Tesla or Porsche. If a partner / director can't afford that then I don't want to be partner

Unless it's career limiting not to drive a nice car, drive what you want.

@ATK1, most people at McK don’t even have cars — no image pressure lol

Who cares? Drive what you want to drive. I'm a little concerned about your lack of confidence and just doing what's right for you.. Sorry, don't mean that condescending but seriously? You need to go on a public forum to ask other people you don't even know what kind of car you should drive. May want to look there first before you look for a car.😉

A car is a depreciating asset. Show you are actually smart and stick with something cheap and reliable - like a Camry. No knock if driving is your hobby and you like high end cars, but that is a total financial spend on a hobby.

Well this is McKinsey (based on titles). I don’t know what kind of pressure they have for appearances. One thing I love about Kearney is image is nothing here and content/delivery is everything.
