Soon enough it’s gonna be like this.......
I think some people would be more proactive in getting off the bench if they had to come into an office every day and sit on one until they were staffed.
Soooo at today's morning status meeting our shitty SM was absolutely railing a consultant. Consultant stands up and says, "Fuck you. You're an asshole. I'm done here." And walks out. 😳...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hey everyone! Chatting with the Fishbowl team early next week since they're doing some user research. Figured I'd take a poll to see what you guys want so I can communicate it to them.
Is there anything sadder than finding out your roll off date, which is supposed to be in 2 weeks, got pushed back by months? 😩💔
Do you prefer Starwood or Marriott and why? I have roughly half points in both but thinking of focusing on one now.
Please tell me something good that happened to you in 2020, trying to lift everyone’s holiday spirit.
Whats the appeal of boston?
When you realize half this job is swatting sh.. out of the way so you can focus on the stuff that actually moves the needle for the client.
Got a 730 on GMAT 3 years ago (applying to top 10 MBAs next year). Should I retake if I'm confident it will be 750 or higher? Engineering undergrad GPA was 3.3 so I'm worried about offsetting that.
What is the best interview slot to request when a company is interviewing multiple people across two days?
Why are "Netflix originals, eating and heavy drinking" not acceptable answers to what my hobbies are outside of the office?"
That one person in the conference room crunching away on their kettle chips during a senior managers meeting.
I just accepted an offer at another big4 and I feel so blessed to be making $130k in LOCL as a 23 year old with less than 1.25 YOE. And I find it funny that I'm gonna be "senior" consultant/associate at my age and YOE. I don't know jack shit, and will completely understand if my clients/senior peers don't give me any respect at all. Thank you covid and the great resignation for this wonderous and hilarious opportunity.
One year in consulting and I'm pretty sure that the travel isn't for me. Should I try to switch to finance or stick it out and let my utilization/chargeability decline until I get a local role?
The longer I stay in this industry, the more I realize that no one has their shit together and all these companies are still functioning out of sheer luck.
