Google certs seem to be pretty powerful in upskilling your resume and adding value
Depends on where you want to take your career. They have technical ones and leadership ones as well. I'd do a mix of both
Tableau runs some advanced programs, have you looked into them?
Would definitely recommend Tableau to add to that mix. Look at job postings to get a sense of what people are looking for in roles you like particularly
I think a strong portfolio goes father than certs or certs alone. The goal of the certs should be to learn something new, not necessarily the cert itself, and makes it the perfect opportunity to put a project you can show case together.
This also gives you something to talk about during interviews when the tasks of the role or your analytics work related history is brought up.
Also.......before I joined the analytics community I was told how important Excel is. Now that I'm in a full time role.....yea man.....knowing Excel, specifically PQ,PP,&DAX probably matters more than R or Python.
Maybe that will change as I move along but I also see the other analyst here largely using Excel.
I've tried Coursera courses in the past. Do they hold any weight with employers looking to hire?
