Atlanta … plus excellent access to mountains in N. GA and the Carolinas. Still easy to get to beach as well. Lots of green and green space and quite diverse if you live in town.

Minneapolis. Lots of trails around the plethora of lakes in the city. No mountains, but plenty of nature getaways as well if you want to drive an hour. Gotta be willing to embrace winter though.

I second Minneapolis. Despite all the bad news of the past 1.5 years it’s a great and affordable city, lots of green. Winters can be brutal though!

Lived in SF for 8 years before buying a house in the East Bay. SF is an overrated shit hole. You’re paying for commute and that’s about it. Foggy weather (unless in the Marina like I was), needles and literal shit on the street, way overpriced housing. Nope. So glad I moved.

Chicago if you’re okay with the cold! The lake will remind you of the gulf

I’ll second Austin here

Wtf is this. Pls fix

Boston but it's light on "big" city feel.

How expensive is Seattle and what’s like a decently nice like high rise apartment, 1 bedroom 1K-1500+ square feet go for. I’ve heard it’s generally expensive, but not like SF/NYC etc

Damn really 3500 in SF. Hope you have a roomate / so / spouse. That’s a lot for a kpmg salary.

Hello all, how can we approach the gender pay gap at our respective employers? I know I’ve mentioned it before but it seems to make Culture & Talent, as well as Legal cringe. I don’t expect them to publish salaries, nor do I wish this, I just want to see what steps we can take to make our voices heard. Let’s open the floor up for ideas and suggestions!!

I’m interviewing for a role that is open to both remote and in-person (when it’s safe) work. Should I give salary expectations based on cost of living in the city where the office is located or based on where I’d live working remotely? Cost of living in the office location is a lot higher than where I’d live but since they are also considering in-person candidates, I know the budget is there.

I need a side job that I can work evenings and/or weekends that can generate at least $1000 extra dollars a month. I was thinking real estate but I know nothing about it… then I thought bartending but again, I know nothing about it… I don’t want to spend more than 20 hours per week working this side job and if it is remote AND contract, that would be great. Any advice?
