New York is cool, but unless you're at a good small shop, or on the good accounts at a big agency, you won't like the work you're doing. I worked at bbdo ny and, as good as they are, there's a lot of crap work and even more people making it. Better bet, for me, would be a good agency in a smaller market. Melbourne, Sydney, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Or a smaller American market with a bigger shop, like CPB in Boulder VMLYR in KC Humanaut in Chattanooga Preacher in Austin

Avoid second cities like Vancouver, Melbourne, Manchester, Barcelona, or Abu Dhabi. Budgets and salaries are lower and work is more local brands.
