What companies have the best maternity leave policy? I’m at a woman owned company that only gives you two weeks paid if you’ve been there for two years

Canadian agencies. One. Year. 🤗

Oh, I should add: they also offer flexible schedules when you return. Some new moms work from home 1 day a week and others came back as part time until they're ready to return to full time.

72 has the best, I believe. (They’ve been certified by the 3% conference) A total of 6 months maternity leave.

like

Huge gives you full salary for 12 weeks and will let you take another 12 weeks unpaid if you'd like it.

Yes, Heat has 4 months paid maternity leave which still accrues annual leave. So, technically, you earn 4 months worth of PTO whilst on your 4 month fully paid maternity leave.

I work for an agency that has a female CEO - and I only got one week of paid maternity leave. So shameful!

I believe 72 offers 24 weeks of paid maternity leave and 4 weeks paternity leave. I know T3 in Austin has a great maternity leave policy. I want to say two MONTHS and you can extend to three months and it’s paid. They also have a T3 and Under program where you can bring your baby to work if you have to. They give you front row parking and an office (breastfeed in private, not pump in a bathroom). I’ve heard nothing but great things about T3’s maternity policy. Sure, it may not be for everyone but to have a company like that, that understands and HELPS rather than provide crap policies with no effort to help, says a lot for me.

@LB What about parents who adopt? We don’t qualify for disability.

KSV in Vermont/NYC has up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for new parents/adopters and pays $600 a week for the first three weeks. They also let you add your paid time off to it if you want (which is 15 workdays a year or 20 days if you’ve been here 5+ years)

Let me check my maternity benefit summary to confiem but I believe you get 6 weeks paid.

I believe Havas offers 12 weeks after a year for primary caregivers, 2 weeks for secondary.

McCann has 6 or 8 weeks paid through short term disability and then they give all new parents, biological or adoptive, 6 weeks of baby bonding that’s fully paid. I was also allowed to negotiate with my boss to use PTO for additional time off at the end of that

VML - 8 wks and $$ for adoption

Interviewing for a great position in industry (tech). They have equity comp & great benefits. Spoke to their HR, then interviewed with 2 people in the tax department and am getting scheduled for a next round of interviews. The only problem is: the office is about 1 hr from my house (I own). They said repeatedly that they want someone who will be in the office 5 days a week. I would actually move but can’t rent out my place now due to some repairs going on that will take 4-5 months. Thoughts?

Hi All, I worked for 4 months at some agency as a full time, due to personal reasons I had to leave that job. After a month I joined another agency where I’m currently working/furloughed. In resume I do not mention that job where I worked for 4 months due to obvious reasons. Can any new potential employer find out that 4months I hid and covered under previous employment? Please advise, I’m scared as I’m not getting any offers despite interviewed at several organizations.

Mothers, how do you keep your life going / live your life for yourself without having all your time sucked up by work and kids? I grew up with a doting stay-at-home mom, so I don’t have many examples of what balanced motherhood looks like. Also, it seems like American society erases your entire identity as a human being beyond “mom” once you have a kid, and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Thinking of having kids someday, but worried I’m too selfish to go for it.
