I graduated last year and was promised a full time salary of 60k (marketing). However, my start date was exactly when Covid hit hard and everyone froze their hiring process and took salary cuts, so my company cut my TC in half. I was loyal to my company and it didn’t hit hard until now. They’re starting to hire many more people in a diff department which makes me think they have the budget now. Currently working as a sales engineer and thinking of doing a part time CS Masters in Penn State. The main purpose is that my role is perceived as none technical and a CS Masters would keep technical opportunities open for me (my undergrad is mechanical engineering).
