Any suggestions on securing an interview with Apple in Austin in a senior quality manager role? I interviewed with them late last year for a role but didn't make it to offer phase. I've been in quality for over 20 years spanning several industries. Just looking to cut thru the applicant pool if anyone can help. Apple

Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all:
1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features?
2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

Facebook. I know they pay very well and have good perks but morally I could not do it.
100% agree. My brother worked at both Amazon and Facebook, presently @Google.
This topic should be a “bowl” unto itself. I don’t trust Glassdoor anymore. I’ve noticed them burying negative comments.

Tried to join…bowl is at its limit.
MyPillow for sure
What, you don’t like good sleep or something??
Amazon
Enron
They were really one of the most innovative companies of the last 30-40 years

Tennessee is a ‘right to fire’ state, unfortunately. I do think she sued them and they settled, if I’m thinking of the same case.
Netflix. Their culture deck… is something else. Plus I had a friend who worked there in market research and confirmed that it’s toxic.
Same. I turned down interviewing with them because I suspected no amount of money would be worth it at this point in my career.
TWITTER. I used to work there and quit because of the bullying and toxic work culture. HR is no help and people have had to get lawyers involved. Hands down the worst company that lies and says they have a “great culture”
GSO supporting TCS. I imagine it varies depending on your team/mgr and country (I’m outside the US). Sorry to hear you had a negative experience here!!
Kraft-Heinz
I have heard that at kraft heinz the warehouse (ir perhaps its a distribution center) in the middle of the midwest (iowa) has NO HEAT and employees go all winter that way. yikes
Just started a new bowl based on this post. A bowl where we can leave true and unedited comments (unlike Glassdoor) about not so “Great Places” to work. Please join. https://joinfishbowl.com/bowl_mqq4ejaent

Google
As a xoogler I tend to agree but like most big companies some teams and bosses are great, some are crap. Same stuff at Amazon. Luck of the draw.
Any of the BIG firms/giants of its industries. Just asking to be siloed off into soemthing

Absolutely. great netflix docuseries about the scandal there a few years back.

Comcast
Can’t speak for Comcast as a whole but my experience with NBCUniversal has been great so far.
Any in the Manufacturing industry. Coca cola, pepsi, etc. they all pay poorly and treat employees as “replaceable” parts of the organization.
My first job out of college was with Mars, sounds like a similar experience.
I turned down an offer at Meta for 230k with 2 YOE after Bachelor's because they'd be a PR liability on my resume in a few years. I think they know this and factor it into their pay. I would've worked to create a marketing campaign about how now Facebook cares about its user data privacy — even though in reality nothing has changed. You don't even have to have strong ethics, it's just wise optics to stay away from Meta unless you see yourself in tech for the long run. I might eventually run for office, so it's not worth it.
I also had offers at McKinsey and Cap One, whose cultures I resonated with, and chose one of them.
I regret absolutely nothing.
