What company culture do you prefer? (Like, Fun Environment, Work/Life Balance, Creative-Driven, Results-Driven or....?)

I received an offer to lateral to another firm with slightly better pay but more importantly, less billable requirements. As a FTM, I feel like I need the next couple of years to be a little less stressful. Is there a way to move but without burning bridges? I want to leave the possibility of returning open at some point. The people I interviewed with seem fine to work with but it’s a smaller firm and you never know firm culture until you’re in it.

I have two offers, one from Am Law 100 firm and one from Am Law 200 firm. Am Law 200 firm is offering 40K more (otherwise the firms have same hours target and, based on discussions, similar culture). I’m trying to decide between the two based on long term career prospects, both offer opportunity for NEP (not sure how realistic it is at either). Also not sure of overall earning potential down the road. Is the 40K now worth it or am I likely to make that up at the Am Law 100 firm in the future?

Internally transferred into FDD as an audit senior 3. My coach and partner have indicated that I’m still eligible for promotion to manager based on years of experience. I’m trying to gauge the actual likelihood of this happening. Obviously firms bring in audit managers at the manager level with no FDD experience but would love to know if it’s possible/likely to be promoted to manager with less than a year of experience. I’d advise anyone in audit to transfer sooner rather than later!
