Friendly late 20s woman fish here who hasn’t been feeling good enough to be in consulting or run a business. I don’t know what’s going on but even with all of my accomplishments I feel worthless. I’m in therapy so I’m sure there’s a rainbow somewhere but I’m wondering if anyone else has felt like this and what you’ve done to get past it? I’ve thought of reading more books on my craft and doing affirmations but I’m like internally smh at everything.

Hi ladies! Question for you all: do you have any tools/books that you recommend for career planning? Now that we are in QT and not traveling I would like to sit down and try to get more focus and clarity on what I want out of my career and beyond. Prior to consulting, I was involved in non-profits, professional development networks, etc. and that has dwindled due to the adjustment in consulting and would like start developing myself that way. Any recommendations? TIA.
Hi, I am going through a few books on consulting and one thing which seems to be given a lot of importance is market sizing. What is the importance of this? It seems to me that unless it is a new product; existing competitors, long term contracts, monopolies etc would make this result unreliable at best and misleading. Can someone help me understand this?

Friday thoughts on Strengths vs weaknesses: I have been told that I am solid in quant, but need development on the creative side of things - brainstorming, strategic frameworks, maybe even writing. If this situation can be improved, what should I do? books or videos or exercises? This doesn't seem easy to tackle at all... If this just reflects how I am like, does it mean I'm not fit for consulting in the longer haul (looking at SC, PM max)? Or perhaps I should focus on DD type of consulting?

What do you think will be the impact of this rapid hiring for MBB? MBB is hiring so rapidly. When it cools down, do you think MBB will realize they over hired? Will it become harder for associates (post MBA) to get promoted? Will it become more competitive for Associates to get staffed on projects they want to be on? Will there just be too many consultants at the Firm and a mass layoff? McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group

For those who did the One Clubs “Mentor and Creative” program, do we put it as an internship with whatever agency or company that hosted us. So, for instance, if you were mentored by some Google CDs for 6 weeks to create an ad campaign that you pitched and might get produce, would you put in your resume or LinkedIn “Google internship.” Does it qualify as an internship cause I’ve seen multiple students put it as an internship.

How many here left Deloitte after the recent good hikes with a hike on hike? How much has your salary changed when compared to a few months back? My case - Got around 50% hike at deloitte then switched with a further 35% so overall ~102%. I realized that best time to switch is after getting hike in existing company. Also, with next Deloitte appraisal in September 2022, it makes sense to leave now.
