HR called and informed that i have L2 round.. what they will ask in L2 round.. how to clear L2 round.. in first round they asked full basic concepts and configuration and now don't know what is the expectations in L2 round... In spite of stellar performance, my request to reprice my role was denied. They're $20k off on base salary for market, our asset size, and experience but say they’re on target. I found out that one of my new hires, who has half my experience and 1/4 of my responsibility is earning just 4k less than I am. They justify this with the 10k bonus I receive. My job reports to the board and is critical at the juncture we’re at as a company. They rave about me but can't pay fairly, and they won't budge.

I was chatting with the assigning partner (one of the partners I work with the most) the other day finalizing my vacation coverage when he started joking with me and saying so and so (figurative reference to certain types of people) could be such “f&$!:n a$$holes” about taking time off. Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Thoughts on lateraling in this market? My offer letter from my firm says I have to pay back to cost of bar prep and moving costs if I leave the firm within a year of starting. I’m considering leaving 11 months in because I’m incredibly unhappy. Does anyone know if these clauses are usually enforced? What happens if I just don’t pay it back? Etc.

NYC F associate here. I haven't seen any female partners in my group actually come into the office in recent months so I genuinely don't know who to ask. For an institutional client meeting, is a black sheath dress with 1.5" black or nude heels and either beige or black blazer acceptable? Also what color combinations work best? I feel so many of my big law co-workers purchase homes $1M+ homes as senior associates but I always struggle to believe that I will be able to do the same. I started saving aggressively this year as a midlevel but still feel so far away to be able to comfortably afford. Additionally, I always have a fear of job loss due to my own parents losing their jobs in 2008 and essentially growing up with no resources.
