I confess I had a strange dream a few years ago and it’s still haunting me : everything was black, no color, no shades, no light, no warmth, no sound, nothing, a big great nothing in nothingness.

I usually do not dream.
Or If I do I almost never remember.
It’s like one dream remembered every ten years or so, something like this.
The only dreams I have are premonitions.
Most of the time it’s about the context and place.
All happened to be verified over time.

I recently received an offer from a competitor with a promotion to my existing role and close to 50% hike. PwC is about to file my I140 in premium now and now I am caught up in 2 minds. Would I wait for another 180 days to make sure that my I140 technically cannot be revoked or do i risk joining the new firm ? The new firm would start my GC process after 6 months of joining and my H1 max out period is in July 2024.

One of the team member has applied leaves for continuous 3 days this month. Later she applied for a 15 days leave saying a medical emergency. Both the leaves were rejected from her manager saying connect with HR. though she is on leave without PM leave approval and this is not even prior notice to the team.
Now'what and all would be the consequences she might face. Is there any chance of these things are being escalated? Please advise!

I have an offer from IBM ISL, Bangalore for Band 7A. (70% hike, 4 YOE, DevOps Developer)

I currently work at Amdocs. After IBMs offer, Amdocs too matched the offer.

I am inclined to stay in Amdocs due to the overall perks, job stability and location (Pune)

So I conveyed the rejection to IBM, the HR is now saying that they will revise the offer to 100%

Clicked on it, favorited it, and contacted the agent. I decided to check Zumper again today because apparently they have good deals, but the apartment was showing up in the results at all. Has anyone successfully negotiated a flexible lease break clause into their rent stabilized lease? Rent stabilized units wont lower rent and aren’t allowed to do month to month. I’d like to resign but only if I have a way out mid way if needed (e.g. give them 30 days notice).
