What do MBB partners exit to typically at FAANG? What comp changes do they see? Can they score a manager role in tech if they have a strong tech background (STEM PhD etc.)?

Off note: What happens to a partners stake when they leave an MBB? Do they get paid out or something?

I've gotten the Deloitte D launch orientation survey. Me start date is on the 16th (less than 2 weeks). Would you lateral from B4 into McKinsey as EM or take an industry offer that is $50k more in TC (thank MCK offer) and better wlb? The biggest push against taking the industry offer is that I’m not sure that i am super passionate about the industry or want to commit to that industry for the longer term.
