Intensive? Elaborate
The new hires I was bumping up against were not quality.
Preach! You’re the type they need to retain, the type that understands we gotta execute but we also need to set up others for success.
Extensive. Not intensive. Forgive the non-native speaker. 🤣🤣
I onboarded a bunch of As on my project this week. The background is anything under the cloud/sun. Not sure how they hire at undergrad levels. I interview for MBA candidates and that seems okay even if not Ivy League.
The overall pool of people with the M&A experience that DDV should go after isn't that big to start off with. Because of that, you'd think DDV would triple down on retention or make us an incredibly attractive candidate to join in the current market instead of half assing it. Doesn't help our recruitment when we've churned and burned so many people, picked up a nasty reputation within the industry that would scare away laterals, and pay far below market. It makes us incredibly unattractive to join for the pool of people we should target.
So now we're picking up basically anyone with a pulse. We all can guess how that's going to go down.
Actually interviewed and got an offer from DDV a while back and declined read nothing but horror stories and their salary was 9k below my other one and wouldn’t match because they’re tied to their salary matrix. I think standardizing like that and not having negotiation on actually salary hurts them
They basically gave anyone off the street a job. I have not had good experiences with the new hires
