@BCG, I'm curious, what % get C? It seems almost automatic these days

Sorry, I meant at your firm.

I think the Senior band at EY starts at 80k.

I think bonus is part of the math you should consider ...

Wtf BCG @.@

Hmmm Probably 50%-60% overall? Associate recruitment process is more competitive than C so a high proportion make it if they want to. A fair number get either counseled out (probably 20-30?) and the rest leave (PE? Or other opps)

Anyone go from MBB/T2 to MBA school and do something OTHER than return to consulting / go for high finance? Curious what your return on making that decision is and if it’s ever worth going if you’re already in consulting. Seems like most non-Consulting or IB jobs you could just skip the MBA.

I think (fingers crossed) that I am about to get a job offer for a management role. It would be a 45 percent pay increase and I honestly might be able to negotiate it to up to 55, but I just don’t feel excited about it. It’s a smaller company then where I am now, but still a decent size and great reputation, but the team is much smaller. I really want to be more excited because I know it’s a good opportunity. Any advice?

Been hell of a year so far. Sort of bittersweet. Lost my job a few months back. Laid off the first time. But my net worth is all time high. And not only that, this has been the fastest increase. 401k up 40% this year. Personal brokerage up 40%. And just refinanced at 2.5. Not sure whether to be sad or happy. Guess will go with happy for now.

Lately, for some reason, I feel like I’ve really hit a wall. I feel no motivation to do anything and constantly procrastinate until the last minute to work on an assignment. Then, I’d stress about doing a bad job and getting fired. This is a vicious cycle and I know that I should seek counseling. But beyond that, what else should I do? Has anyone experienced this before, and how did you get out of this cycle?
