Additional questions to a previous post I had. Got an offer from Deloitte to join as an Ariba Consultant (not SC) in the enterprise performance group. 1. Are my personal 401k contributions vested immediately 2. How much PTO can I expect at this level? 3. How much can I expect to pay per month roughly for an HSA plan?

I've been told that the earlier buyout for partners is because they'd like those people to spend a few years on an industry/company board to help maintain those relationships, though if I ever made it to that point I would use the extra time to move around to my several houses in Bali, NZ, Central America, Europe 😏😉
Yeah, there are just a ton of jobs out there that shell out 800K+ a year. I love how some of my fellow big 4 stooges who know they'll never make partner like to pretend it's a poor paying gig, and that there are just sooo many jobs out there that'll exceed partner pay. Please.
My dad retired from Deloitte in his 50s now he is a professional dog walker and house husband
Pyramid scheme
They die
They achieve Operating Thetan level
After they retire? They sit pretty on their pensions
Hookers and blow
U have to make room for new partners. 56 is a little young, I think McKinsey is around that. Deloitte is 62
They die. Consulting is like a fast forward button on your life. It ends sooner and you don't enjoy it while you're in it.
Deserve? Who the hell cares. Take that feel the Bern crap somewhere else
800K, minus loans, minus capital calls, minus 100% of health insurance. It also takes years of shit to get to that point. If you're talented, that number is exceeded in industry.
Sit on boards
D1 ashamed to say that made me lol
58 at EY. Though can make it to 60
I want to stop before that age
58 for partners at EY but it can flex. With the changing model, the pension overhead is a lot like social security and for the younger people here, best to not plan on that model.
Yes. Boss left Associate Partner role at MBB to become CEO of another company.
A slower, less painful death.
There is zero point in being a partner if the pension isn't there.
