Time to go all cash before the election?
Anyone here in IB restructuring willing to share tips and good resources to use to prep for an upcoming interview? I don’t have IB/finance experience but took a modelling course on wallstreetprep. Also, I am planning on studying the HL case study and read the interview guides on restructuringinterviews.com. Lastly, If you can share what the interview was like for you, that would be appreciated. TIA

I can't stop thinking about work.

Marriott will destroy all that is good about SPG...don't need inside info to know that's coming 👺
Yeah suite night upgrades really suck when I get upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite in Maui overlooking the ocean or a 1000 square foot room in florence overlooking the river. The going rates for those rooms are usually 2-3k per night so when I have to pay that $30 resort fee I really don't understand what's great about spg.
That would be Accenture
I expect it will be something new with aspects of each program...but worse of course.
And goodbye to ambassadors.
Marriott has been piloting an invite only Ambassador service - while the SPG qualification for Ambassador may change, the service will likely be around in some form in the future
I never understood what was so great about SPG anyway. I have an SPG ambassador. No real difference from Marriott ambassador. What are you expecting to lose? suite nights? Those were worthless to me. Never went through
I def get more points per stay and they def have more promotions than Marriott
I get upgrades to suites at Marriott and SPG without "My 10 suite upgrades". Happened last week as a matter of fact. I've even been upgraded at a Ritz and I only had the platinum that I transferred. I never saw the need for the bonus upgrades. They both have quarterly promotions that I value about the same. Individual properties may vary, but I don't see the big deal.
We should ask the fbers who are working on that right now. I think either D or EY got that right?
I think D is working on it from what I've heard, at least an aspect of it
I dont think D won the rewards consolidation work
Any rumors spreading @A1??
It's less about Marriott and more about less need for competition. It'll become less rewarding like Hilton.
My guess is no more suite upgrades.
That's my fear @PwC1. Feeling it's gonna become a bad program now that they have this massive portfolio of hotels. Why would they need to reward people when they own all the hotels people want to stay at?
Marriott just instituted Ambassadors
The fact that all the Marriott people are stoked and the SPG people are depressed is all you need to know about this merger. Our points will be devalued down to almost nothing, but hey look on the bright side..we can stay at a courtyard now
I guess I'm SPG 100 and thrilled about it
