look up clean simple eats on instagram - changed my life and the way i look at healthy food. there are so many options if you look for them. i’ve lost 26 pounds following the CSE plans 😊
BA1 can I DM you as well? Would love to look at the recipes!
Honestly, I gained weight when I didn’t eat any carbs. Sometimes a little balance is good! Metabolisms go into starvation mode otherwise
Yep, I’ve gone to both. Really I just gotta focus on lean protein and veggies but am tired of having chicken and broccoli every night. 😂
🥰
Yea true everyone’s different. I’m very small and I eat like a pig haha but this ^^^ is how I eat. So why I can pig out all day lol
Protein and veggies.
Usually a fish and broccoli
Spaghetti squash and zoodles are great alternatives! Also, right rice and banza are great brands that put vegetables into what normally would be a very carb heavy staple.
I usually mix up my protein and have mostly veggies as sides. For example, I’ll have roasted salmon with roasted asparagus, tomatoes and Japanese sweet potatoes this week.
Lean protein and vegetables. Get yourself some shrimp and scallops, sear them (google how to do this - takes like 2 minutes on each side), and serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower mash or cauliflower rice. Make a little sauce with some of the olive oil you used for the seafood.
When all else fails, make an omelette. Do maybe 2 full eggs and 2 egg whites. Egg yolk is delicious and has a ton of nutrients but provides a lot of fat and calories, too, so you have to alter the amount of full eggs you add based on your calorie and macro requirements
Yes but I already have eggs most mornings!!! I love eggs tho. Maybe I’ll try skipping morning eggs so I can have them for dinner!
Had a beyond burger, a cobb of corn, and good amount of watermelon tonight 👌👌
This was my exact dinner last night (plus asparagus)! :) Beyond burgers are so good.. I also love the beyond sausages as well!
Pasta (aglio olio e peperoncino) with a side salad. Good balance of carbs and veggies, without being boring
Make a list of the food you like to eat. Next buy the ingredients for that food and make substitutions to make them healthier(coconut oil instead of canola oil, homemade sweet potato fries instead of tater tots, air fried chicken cutlets, etc). Then cook the food. It really is that simple.
It is so hard to eat more that your body wants to with whole foods due to the sheer volume of food for the calories when you don’t add in the unsatiating extras.
^ yes! I’m really focusing on high volume, low calorie. That way fat me can still get the feeling of satiety without actually eating a ton of calories!
Veggie wrap- hummus, avocado, lime juice, couscous, cucumber, spinach in a spinach wrap
I love the book Practical Paleo! It has some great recipes

I started making a stir fry with loads of veggies (broccoli, green beans , squash , onion , all color bell peppers, black beans and a few spoons of white rice). Filling, yummy and pretty balanced.
OP, one thing that may help is shifting your focus from punishing yourself with food you don’t like to choosing to eat healthy because you care about yourself and your future. I’m not saying you don’t care, but it’s recognizing that food is fuel for your body rather than a reward or an emotional crutch. We use gasoline or electrical charge to run out vehicles - they wouldn’t do so well on carbonated soft drinks. Our bodies are the sane - they need proper fuel.
No, you don’t have to eat salad two meals a day. And some salads have way more calories than other options (if you look at dressing, croutons, bacon, bits, etc.,).
Whole Foods, good quality produce, lean proteins. Lots of different approaches (keto, vegan, Mediterranean, Japanese, etc.,) but all healthy diets have one thing in common - lack or processed foods and sugar.
Shop in the perimeter of the grocery aisles, avoid foods with ingredients you can’t pronounce and understand what makes up a real portion and serving size.
I know it’s frustrating right now. We’ve been duped by marketing and huge sizes. We have been brainwashed to say we deserve less healthy food that tastes good, but it’s not what makes our bodies feel good and run well. If you can break the connection between short term rewards to the taste buds and long term feeling good - you’ll be on your way.
Experiment with flavors and different cuisines! You can have fun wit this!
At night, since I’m exhausted from working all day and then a workout, it’s usually a protein shake with a bunch of veggies and a few dates. Typically: kale, celery, avocado, carrots, vegan protein powder, and dates. So good!
Chicken and fish are my low-calorie, filling dinner staples! Usually eat with roasted, grilled, or steamed veggies and reasonable portions of potatoes/rice/bread.
Soyrizo, onion, avocado, and cabbage 🌮
Ugh I wish! I can’t really have potatoes! Too many carbs for me. 😪
