What’s the difference between a Brand consulting firm like Prophet or Lippincott and an agency like IPG Mediabrands or Publicis Media. I just started my career in marketing and didn’t realize how much we rely on agency partners. The agency’s do lower funnel work, but they also do strategy, which made me curious on the difference. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m a fresh undergrad!
Tangerine are worth talking to. They know about many jobs in creative companies as well as agencies that don’t get advertised. And they are a good sounding board and intermediary if you’re lucky enough to be negotiating a deal or deciding between two offers.
I second this. The team there genuinely want to place you where you belong/want to be, not just where they have a role to fill. They have connections at the best agencies and are up front about who they’re recruiting for, there’s no mystery with them which I have always appreciated
Take you for drinks at Soho House? Connect with them - there’s no harm. If you have a connection at an agency already, use that first because firstly it might get you further and secondly because once you engage them, they want to get paid for placing you so you have to tell them what agencies you’re already talking with.
