Saw some of these posts and decided to shoot my shot...25/M/Indian (Cue the Indian Matchmaking memes) NY (Not born, but raised) Hmu if you’re interested in talking/seeing where things go, ideally looking for something long term
Looking for an entry position in Denver, CO.. Anyone know of some contacts or advice? Have messaged 2 recruiters on LinkedIn and haven’t heard back.
So I’m late to the Indian Matchmaking series. Is it the guy who has to be wealthy and the women who need to come from wealth? There doesn’t seem to be a lot of emphasis on what the women do for a living, but the men all seem either well-off or getting called losers. Is that what people look for in real life too? So there’s no place for women on the come up to be with someone above their own social class?
“You know what I hate about people? When men I’m on a date with start taking to other people. When they talk to the bartender and have a real conversation.🤯” - Aparna from Indian Matchmaking That line told me everything I needed to know about why she’s still single🤦♀️
I used to hate that the Coronavirus Work/Life bowl was a shared bowl with consultants and advertising folks, but now I’ve decided I love watching these two worlds collide.
has anyone ever retracted their offer because they got a better offer elsewhere? or has anyone leveraged a new offer to negotiate a higher comp for the original offer (that you initially accepted)?
Starting to really feel defeated. Every agency is on a hiring freeze and every job posting requires more than the 2 years experience I have.
Fellow 🐠 and 🦈, need advice/witty response ideas to the questions: 1. Are you going through the same thing as what was shown in Indian matchmaking? 2. Why don’t you hire sima aunty to help you? F**k Indian matchmaking!
Feeling frustrated and disappointed - have a very strong background/work experience and can’t get the right opportunity outside due to visa issue! How are you guys dealing with this?
which tech firm (e.g microsoft, amazon, etc.) has a good in-house consulting position and interesting work?
Jesus Christ... How hard is it to fucking coordinate operations, Delta?!?!?! What a piece of shit company.
Why don’t recruiters actually do their job and facilitate the hiring process, it seems like they just “check” on things but don’t advocate or make things happen.
Applied to a position at a big agency. Shit account but whatever. Already interviewed. Lookin good. Saw they posted another position for a different account. But one of the questions (contd)
