I’m keeping my own last name as it was not part of my upbringing to take my spouse’s last name or add it to my existing last name. I don’t have any opinions on anybody who does hyphenate

That’s exactly how we did it. My wife and I have different last names and my kids took mine

Nope, my children will take the name of my husband, I will not change my last name per Chinese tradition

PwC1, I knew some old school Taiwanese who did what you described.

I plan for any child of mine to have a hyphenated last name.

Naw. Take one or the other, imo.

I did it bc I got married later and now I wish I didn’t. Takes forever to explain and I never know if I used my maiden or hyphenated name on accounts that ask for last name. I gave my daughter her dad’s last name. I’m casual conversations I always use my former last name. You can do it but me experience has been it’s confusing.

Does anyone have any advice on how to shift from a specialist (paid advertising) to a more strategic (in digital marketing) role? I've been job searching for a couple of weeks and would love to be considered for roles outside paid advertising but it seems to be extra challenging this time of the year.

I’m trying to land a job in healthcare administration. I have my master’s degree, but I have only 2 years of professional experience. The jobs I have seen ask for 5+ years of experience, is experience weighted more than my masters? Is it about paying dues before landing a job? Or am I looking at the wrong places?
