Considering an expert role in healthcare in mid Atlantic region at McKinsey. Any thoughts about culture, wlb, tc, etc? Have read through a bunch of older threads. Opinion seems mixed. Negatives mentioned include more intense work hours than integrative track, second class citizen, slower career progression, lower pay than integrative, harder to get staffed on engagements, poor integration into teams, and subpar exit opportunities. Also read this is changing. Would appreciate recent thoughts. 🙏

660k net worth at mid - late 30s still feel insecure due to no access to affordable Health Insurance. Health is ok, some dental issues. But, can we really call this a free country if one health issue can bring you on road? What are the options for health insurance if you try a new job and get fired?

Asking for general advice on how to approach this. Wife has been working very long hours and her company has not hired anyone to replace talent that has left. My wife is left alone with all the workload and the company won’t do anything to bring in more workers. The higher ups keep sending more work her way and no additional hands. Her boss is aware of the situation but won’t act on it. This is starting to cause a more serious problem: mental health issues. What would you do to escalate this?

Internally transferred into FDD as an audit senior 3. My coach and partner have indicated that I’m still eligible for promotion to manager based on years of experience. I’m trying to gauge the actual likelihood of this happening. Obviously firms bring in audit managers at the manager level with no FDD experience but would love to know if it’s possible/likely to be promoted to manager with less than a year of experience. I’d advise anyone in audit to transfer sooner rather than later!
