Hey guys,
Has anyone offer of EXL Service, they have something practice premium (pp) in their CTC part.
Suppose if total fixed CTC is x then pp is almost 0.25x, 0.75x is rest your base CTC, pf and gratuity all deduction will happen from 0.75x. but the main con of this pp is your next cycle appraisal will happen on 0.75x. This is something I haven't seen with any other companies. Can anyone tell here if knows and understands it better, what are other benefits and cons are there with this CTC str

Min last 2 years. Was 15% before that. Been investing in some real estate. Two investments which are cash flow positive and own personal house with signify that equity now. 28 with an SO. Saving some cash now. Waiting for market to cool down before hiking back up 😡
A2, you pay income tax regardless. You pay income tax for all income regardless of 401k, IRA, or brokerage. But in a brokerage account, you ALSO pay capital gains tax - in retirement accounts you don't. That is why people benefit with retirement accounts.
Plus, in a Roth (IRA or 401k), since its post income tax, you can withdraw the principle whenever you want without penalty. (But you would be stupid to because you would lose the tax benefit of being shielded from capital gains tax)
I am 48 and made the mistake of not contributing full amount. If you can contribute full, please do it. Anything other than that will find a cleaver way to grt spent in the next 20 years (car, boat, bacation, marriage ).By saving outside i was able get my networth over milliion+,but by not contributing full i missed atleast 600k.
I max my contribution at $18k +firm match. 32
Max Roth 401k
Max HSA
Max Roth IRA (via loophole)
$100 a month to 529 (just in case)
All surplus to brokerage

Max out your 401k before any other long term savings for the tax advantage. I've maxed it out (the lower of 25% of income or $18,000 or so I think) since I was 21.
Max 401k at 18k. 25. Tax savings plus compound interest make it highly advisable to max it out

6% for company match and the rest into crypyto. 24
Firm match/then invest elsewhere.. 30
6% to get the full match, the rest goes to student loans. 27
I put in 10%, the Firm contributes 7% (gift, not match). I then put another 20% into indices, ETFs, and other low fee things.
~20% to max out at 18k then invest extra elsewhere
Priorities shpuld always be making out 401K, then maxing out Roth IRA, and then various other investment vehicles. I live with a CFP from Morgan Stanley. She is my wife ;)

10% 23
15% plus some more into brokerage, 22
Max 401K at 18K. 27 YOA. Long term benefits make it too easy of a decision.
6% to get the full match, 26. The rest to student loans and high-interest savings.
Context: I'm trying to figure out whether to put more into 401k or invest separately? Currently putting 13% but think I should go down
Max since 25
