What do you do to decompress on vacation?

I've noticed that a lot of angel group meetings happen during the work day. My understanding is that most angels have other day jobs. Do people just take time off work to go to these meetings? Are most angels entrepreneurs themselves?

Have seen comp for NACR (restructuring) listed at around 150-200 for analysts, 200-275 for associates, and one mention of senior associates at 375k. Supposedly NACR gets crushed in terms of hours. But i've also read that targets are around 2000 hours per year? Something doesn't add up.....e.g. Associate $550/hr * 25% cap rate * 2000 billable hrs = $275k.......but 2000 hours is slightly over 40 hours a week (including 4 weeks vacay), not the 80 hr/week. So is there a ton of time on vacation?

My husbands mom lives with us and we usually get along fine, but today I am over it. WFH means being with her 24/7 and after the holiday's I am just done. I wish it was just the 2 of us again. Can I force his sister to take her? I want my house back, but I also don't want to be the crabby wife.

I have been in sales even before college. I'm reaching a burn out. I feel like the expectations get higher the more work I put in and that ends with me putting on many hats to get done. I can't catch a break, let alone allowed a decent vacation without having to negotiate based on performance. I honestly don't want to be in sales forever. I'm versatile when it comes to any tasks due to the nature of wearing many hats. Any suggestions?

We all tried to get tickets when it came out, I got lucky and purchased the tickets for everyone as well as 3 extras as one of our friends wanted to invite more people. I'm conflicted and I honestly feel defeated. I started this job at a good foot, I negotiated the salary I wanted, which was of the higher tier. I killed it by being in the top 6 performers of my sales class. A year into the job, I get my first promotion by hitting my numbers. Felt proud of myself for a moment. Then I get an email saying I'll still get the promotion. But due to my higher starting salary (5k over the average) I won't get the pay raise of 3k. Is this right? "Here's your pizza!"
