I had the same problem early in my career. You gotta completely disconnect for at least a day or two. If that’s not an option (like after 3/15 for tax staff), then work on your easiest projects and purposefully take an easy day or two. If you’re a high performer no one will bitch that you’ve cut back to 8 hours for a day or two after the deadline.
Now I do billing and other admin crap to disconnect but still stay “productive”
Yoga, Netflix, take a walk, bake

I go skiing. High recommended something active outside far away from your computer
I forget that that I do tax returns for a living
I have a three day process, first day admin (working), second and third day vacation/personal (completely unplugged). Basically I wrap up all the loose ends with expense reports, draft reviews & all that bc I’m still amped from pushing through. Then I crash for two days. Veg, play video games, binge watch, drink, read, wherever my mood takes me.
If back to back then I have an admin day and lounge (single day), then on to the next, but at the end of the back to back work I book a 1-2 week vacation. Used to do cruises - expensive to connect so I don’t, and I didn’t really have to plan anything. Likely to consider all inclusive this year.
I usually take the day off and do something physical, cause sitting around watching Netflix doesn’t help me. I usually do yard work, do an outside project or some diy thing inside. If no project, then go for a run or something. Sitting on a couch won’t get energy out
Sleep in, watch tv, get baked.
Can’t. All the deadlines are back to back to back. Nightmare fuel
Drink all the beers possible. Usually hurting the next morning with no motivation to do anything
Cardio can get that anxious energy out followed by a bath and meditation or just listening to relaxing music in the bath
Move on to the next deadline? No time to relax...

Golf. Not too demanding physically, but it requires all your focus and concentration - which means it's not on work. What if you're in a part of the world where you can't golf outside at this time of year? Find a simulator.
I always have to take a day or 2 and do nothing after the last big tax deadlines (5/15 and 11/15 since we do nonprofits.) Just veg out and sleep or whatever.
Get drank the evening of the issuance and then take it easy the next day. Do admin stuff and/or some easy planning work and not more than 8 hours.
I get depressed after busy season.
