Find a job you do care about. Life is too short to spend the majority of your waking hours on things that don't matter to you.

Of course anything worthwhile takes effort.

You don't care or are you just not good? Is it a subject matter issue, a management issue, or something else?

Hmm haven’t really thought that far into it. I have been told I’m good at the role and received good feedback. But it was when I first started the position. There are things I can def do to grow but I have no motivation too because I have no interest in being good at the task other then maybe getting promoted. But I’m not motivated by money atm.

Shared this in a comment thread on another post and want to get thoughts — I’m at 9 interviews for an M role at a startup (close to unicorn). The final loops were early this week and the recruiter reached out today to schedule one final interview focused on skills not in the job description. Should I just pull the plug?

I have just over 3 years of experience (2.5 as an Analyst and .5 as a software engineer) and all doing .Net coding. I live in the Denver area, and work remote. What salary is everyone getting for that kind of position? I make 97,000 with a 10% profit sharing bonus (up to 10%). I've also only been with my company under 6 months and got a raise when I got my current job. Any thoughts?

Offered a niche bizops role at a tech company. Offer came in at 135k, no sign on, 10% bonus, no rsu. Is 150 TC a fair offer in this market? Most of the companies I’m interviewing at are in the 110-130 TC range but I see a lot higher ranges on this app. 3 YOE at tier 2 firm.

Any tips for someone who discounts good feedback but heavily focuses on the opportunities to improve? So much that I have a fear of getting fired despite receiving overall good feedback. I started a new job earlier this year. The function of the role and industry is new to me. My manager told me he generally has higher expectations than the rest of the organization. Originally, I viewed this as a great learning opportunity but can't help to think I'm not cut out for this and fear the worst.

Last round of interview coming up for an analyst/associate role in IB M&A. I have 2 years of experience in Big4 M&A. The previous interview round was very technical, and the last round will be a ”business case”, which lasts about 3.5 hours, including a short introduction, 2-hour preparation, and a presentation. They will provide me the PC. What would you expect an IBD case study to be like? I’m not sure if I have to build everything from scratch or if I can use some ready-made layouts.

I had applied to technology audit so how much should I be prepared to talk about auditing as a service? Once again any insights will go a long way. Thank you :)
