Leadership told me to “make it work”. This, I have no choice after trying several different approaches but to let the other person fail. Lose the battle, win the war type of thing

Give very detailed and specific instructions for deliverables, so that they have a checklist to go through. It may take more time but save the frustration when you can point back to the list as "is all this done?"

Any chance the person is dealing with personal matter or you’re not giving him a chance to make mistakes (e.g., breaking down his neck)... you could give him deadlines 48 hours prior to delivery to the client and and review it a day before and sit with him and provide him with constructive criticism and have him take note that way those mistake won’t be repeated and use that as a bench mark for the next review session and measure from there and tell him what working and what needs to improve and build a development plan around his weak areas

What was your "I know I'm done moment" that made you decide you were ready to leave consulting? I am at my second firm with a much better WLB but starting to question whether I need to just exit altogether. I also hear about many ex-consultants being "bored" in industry jobs so want to make sure I am really thoughtful about what it is I am looking for outside of a consulting role. I am over the hierarchy and politics in consulting but not sure it that much better in industry.

Hi everyone, its my first time posting here but thought I'd ask for some advice on this. am a beginner UXer with a design education background. I just got a job as UI Designer. I am super anxious. I am good at research to wireframing. But UI, never done it before... high fid, design systems etc are all so new to me. This is making me so insecure getting into the new job what if I make a fool of myself? What if I ruin projects and real client work? Should be excited but can't stop overthinking.

Last year I set up a home gym with a weight rack, free weights bike, bench, tv, and fan in our garage for my husband as a birthday gift since he couldn’t hit the gym and was getting depressed about it. He’s worked out maybe 5 times with it. Meanwhile I’ve been using it 5 days a week. I can tell he’s in a funk emotionally due to lack of movement and routine. How do I gently encourage him to work out or move more without making it seem like I’m doing it for the wrong reasons?
