I’d say everything not under litigation is “transactional” not corporate. Corporate I’d say is generally M&A, cap markets, maybe funds. Tax is transactional but I don’t think it’s “corporate”
Firm I’m going to has the tax department tucked under corporate. So it depends.

To me, corporate is not litigation. But I do litigation at a corporate firm. So depends on how the word is being used.

Corporate counsel for in-house jobs can be an umbrella title that's not really corporate at all. Is that what you mean?
Depends on the company. If it’s with a Wall Street firm, it might actually be close to corporate/M&A/securities on the firm’s transactions. For most companies, it is probably general inhouse counsel work, doing whatever needs to be done (contracts, corporate housekeeping, SEC filings,…) except maybe for specialties like employment/tax/IP.
