We can spend up to $20 a day on gym while traveling so covers the majority of OTF x 2 M-Th. Black coffee, Greek yogurt + fruit for breakfast, iced tea and salads (select dressing wisely) for lunch. Usually fish or something similar for dinner (low carb sides). No soda (diet included), limit booze intake (just be conscious of it). Gym / HIIT class Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Every single week - and it becomes a habit. You feel guilty when you miss one but you just keep your head up and pick up where you left off. It's a journey not a destination.

I work out Monday - Thursday at the client site, and have been doing it for 7 years. I get up at 430 and run then head to the gym to lift. I go straight from the gym at 645 or 7am to the client. I've had two clients that had gyms in their office location - both encouraged a healthy life style and tried to encourage their employees (contractors) included to shut down for an hour during the day, lunch or another time, and go exercise. Typically though I set expectations with the senior leadership and tell them what I'm not willing to compromise on and as long as work is getting done at a high quality and the client is happy I've never had a problem

Amazing things can be done when you're properly motivated.

I woke up everyday at 5:30am to go lift and then head to client site by 8am. My team did it with me.

It depends. I always try different strategies to force my lazy ass. Like 1) Making a routine for just 2 weeks and forcing yourself to follow it and it becomes a habit 2) There's a gym nearby with really hot chicks that gives instant motivation. I can go on and on, you gotta find your own way.

I have fallen in love with Orange Theory Fitness. It is near client site and home. Have a great local crew at my 6:15 am T-Th class.

Got to keep moving. Female here. Here's my schedule: Th-Sun: at least 2 full body HIIT routines, 1 long run or bike, and yoga M-Th: 1-2 workouts at least ranging from peloton rides (thanks Westin); 1 evening of dancing; 1 day arms abs. I found a salsa club nearby and I sneak away to that to socialize without my team.

Female here. I signed up for hot yoga classes at studios near client site via Groupon, so there's a deadline for how long I have at each studio. One of the Groupons had 20 classes for three months. I had to schedule the classes on my Google calendar to squeeze in those 20 classes before the deadline. I did yoga for wellness, but with all those poses and planks and sweating, I've lost ~10 lbs and now can see my abs.

Usually medium intensity cardio for 30-40 mins followed by some lifting. I intentionally just focus on "maintaining" a healthy body, and usually don't try to over exert myself so I can keep doing it consistently without getting injuries (getting older and recovery is slow). I also keep mixing up the exercises so I don't get bored eg sometimes I bike, sometimes go for a run etc.

Thanks P3. I'm a woman too so this is especially helpful. I think what's been lacking is my motivation and so I haven't formed a habit. Ten years ago I was obsessed with exercise. Got to get back at it

like

I have told myself for the last year that I'm not allowed to take more than two days off from working out (for me I just like to run and at least run a 5k doesn't matter how slow). This has kept me motivated and once I get started I end up wanting to run more or faster "might as well." Only went three days without working out once. End up usually running 4-5 days per week. Oh and it's great because I can eat more yummies and not feel bad about it and have lost 12 pounds!

Get to the gym before your day starts. You will feel better for it.

Before I was a consultant I did competitive power lifting. Was in great shape 6'2 250lbs at 11% body fat. Ate 5-6k calories a day and lifted 5-6 days a week. Now I'm on the road and work 60+ hours a week and just trying to keep from turning into the fat guy..but hotel gyms and try not to drink my weight in beer helps

I do the same as others have mentioned. I always workout Friday-Sunday (usually hiit/bootcamp style classes), Monday-Thursday I do at least 2 workouts. I use a combo of Orangetheory Fitness, class pass, and barre classes. If all else fails I'll at least do 30 minutes of running. I try to do morning workouts but if all else fails I'll do evenings and I don't feel bad if I have to miss a dinner to keep on track.
