What do you like most about marketing?

Flexibility between industries is my big one. Second would be how wide the field is; research, event planning, reporting, social media, etc. Even within these there are subsets, like managing one platform only for social media or influencers only. I like knowing if I become bored I can easily pivot.

Agreed! That's definitely an underrated aspect of marketing

I love working in a field that allows me to apply my creativity and approach tasks in my own way

My favorite part about it is that I get to do it fully from home!

I feel like I'm always learning something new, there's new developments in the marketing space year after year and clients are always asking for innovative ways to market their brands. Keeps me on my toes and stops me from being complacent

I do enjoy my job on a personal level but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that the money is a huge contributing factor to why I'm still doing it

I love the creativity involved in marketing. Every day presents a new challenge and opportunity to come up with innovative ideas that will capture people's attention. I also enjoy working with clients and other team members to achieve common goals.

There are a lot of things I like about marketing, but one of the things I appreciate most is the ability to constantly learn and grow. In marketing, there's always something new to learn whether it's a new strategy, a new platform, or a new way to connect with customers. I also enjoy the challenge of coming up with creative solutions and ideas, and the satisfaction of seeing them come to life.

Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Hey AIR team,
How do you confirm a company that approaches you from Europe is legitimate? I have a media company from Turkey asking me to quote some animation for them. They have a website, have given their address (which is an actual address on google maps), and have given phone numbers which I haven't tried yet. I have let them know that if we work together, I'd require 50% up front, 35% midway and 15% before delivery of final elements and they say they're fine with that. Anything else?

Hi All! I need some help. I got recently laid off and I am going to start interviewing for roles soon. Should I tell recruiter that I’m not in the company anymore? If so, what should I say? (I got fired due to my performance, but my manager set me up for failure from the beginning, aka toxic leader).
Also, should I update my LinkedIn so that recruiters know I’m open for work?

Agency owners, how do you find new clients?

Have a big interview tomorrow. The question I dread the most is about why you’re looking for a new job. Do I just make something else up entirely?

Anyone hiring for strategic account manager, or AE/SaaS Sales roles?

Hi all!

Seeking advice on job titles.

I'm looking for roles that have aspects of event strategy & marketing. I have experience doing both and would like to continue on that path but I struggle with what titles to look for. Company suggestions are appreciated as well! Is there a role out there that would allow me to work with clients and plan their event/marketing strategy?
