Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

What’s going on in Atlanta this weekend
We are the Champions My Friends!!!
I follow the 3 E's: eat, exercise, explore. Find a new breakfast place, walk a trail or beltline, then do something new (musuem, event, movie, hobby) or buy something new (records, books, etc). Favorites include the Plaza Theater, little 5 record shop by the Vorrtex, and trails just north of atl like Indian Seats
Wax & Facts and Criminal Records are the names of the record stores. Criminal Records used to do in store mini shows. Saw Janelle Monae perform there when I first moved to Atlanta 10+ years ago, long before she blew up and won an Oscar. Music is THRIVING here. Many places to go catch smaller live shows and buy records locally, as you said. The Earl, the Tabernacle, the Eastern, Terminal West …. You can’t go wrong, really. Cheers!
Get some friends
There are a million great trails for running, hiking, walking, biking, etc. if you enjoy that. The Beltline is great for all of those, plus goes through the best parts of town and hits great restaurants, bars, stuff to do, people watching…
Go to the park and lay out a blanket and read/listen to music and eat or take a little nap. Pro tip on this is to bring a blanket or soccer mom chair
Go to another city. Atlanta is legit boring but it has a well connected airport.

Atlanta is…fine.
If I'm not traveling somewhere normally relaxing, beltline, walking/hiking trails or the park, museums, local events going on (there's literally always something happening in Atlanta on any given day), drinks, hookah, trying new restaurants, videogames, new movies and shows etc
Amen!
I live on Westside so tons to do. Breweries with friends, hit a restaurant, walk in a park, go to a concert or dance party at the Masq, etc.
If you aren't one to go out pick up a new hobby you can do solo. I play guitar, make YT videos, stream, play video games, read, lift weights. Get enough hobbies started and pretty soon you won't have time to do all of them and will WISH you had more downtime.
Westside here too!
Last weekend, I went to a cigar bar in Smyrna. Was pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had.
Was it in the battery?
I go to a fitness class, volunteer, and the go to a charity social event or a cool restaurant. So many neighborhoods to explore that you can’t get bored. From Buford highway to the beltline.
